mmm i haven't actually spoke about them in depth at all, but that's pretty much because i feel like what you see is what you get with them? does that make sense? like there wasn't any big drama or fall out.

they just had (have? i like to think they still talk. joon met up with yonghwa recently, who was also friends with jinki so?) a really sweet and pure friendship

i think it's because jinki never really had tons of idol friendships, like the other members. or at least ones that were well-known, so, a lot of people were talking about him and joon and how cute it was.

Man your tags made me think about the fact that babywols don’t know 2012 onew era…or the shift that happened to shinee after cold war. I still say 2012 onew partly happened cause he broke up with joon.

Well watching the footage can give them a good idea of what was going on and many babywols I've talked to grasp the difference between this era versus what was there before and what was there after. BUT it is very different to have experienced that all in real time. Like seeing Jinki act in such a way in 2012 when all we had known before was mostly the bubbly and goofy parts of him... that was something o___o He really felt like a man who had nothing to lose!!!

Yooooo. The whole Joonew thing omg. I tend to forget about it, but that whole friendship/relationship will always fascinate me. Joon was clearly into Jinki, like a lot, and Jinki seemed to enjoy his company very much and then... nothing. I have discussed this before with someone else and they had such an interesting take on it and I can't recall it right now, but yeah that was fascinating. This was definitely a period of lots of turmoil for Jinki and I think he was really figuring himself out through that period and then the shift was clear in 2013 - he was full on Daddy but calm and peaceful about it.

i also think that the way jjong presented himself later on was a factor of importance in the change of patterns!! it's funny tho, i'm sure that jinki's long hair and his whole appearance 2010-12 were also a factor that made people portray him as the docile one in the relationship (kind of the way they portrayed key in the j*****y ship) in jongyu, onho and even joonew fics he'd have this role in many fics around that time i've noticed? (the way one could make a whole study about this dhfhhdf)

But yes, Onho!!! I was a huge Onho shipper and I would read some and I personally felt like it could go both ways with them, but ofc, because Ming was the taller one and I guess what people considered ‘’manlier’’, so Jinki had to fill the more docile, fem role.
