This is definitely another intentional parallel by the writers. And my opinion? Honestly, a job well-done! I’d be heartbroken though if the reason why Yang never married is because he regrets turning Bae down :((

So apparently, in the original story of Law School Sol B and Joon Hwi end up together but they changed it because Kim Beom and Ryu Hye Young showed stronger chemistry?

Okay so my understanding is that the script was probably changed after a first table read. It makes sense now though... In the first few episodes while I felt that Joon Hwi and Sol A were gonna be the two characters with traction, there was this some sort of testing waters with Joon Hwi and Sol B. Maybe that was what was intended and the Sol A-Joon Hwi relationship was revised during the final script revisions?

I found this most evident with how Sol A looked quite disappointed and hesitant when she told Sol B she would've gladly backed off Joon Hwi, yet it seems as if the writers already knew it was gonna be JoonSol A by that time. Interesting how HyeBeom's chemistry changed the entire story. From the very first episode, I really knew it was them the moment Joon Hwi teased Sol A about wearing pajamas T_T

I'm calling it. Joon Hwi's gonna defend Sol A about her past coming out the same way she defended him when he was accused of murdering his uncle.

If Law School was more on the slice-of-life romcom side, I guarantee you... SolHwi will have a slow burn and they'll get together by the 10th or 12th ep while JisolB will serve ultimate childhood rivals to friends to lovers (JiHo will be the one who'll fall first, start becoming Joon Whipped™️ for Sol B ofc, and Sol B will be so confused why JiHo's suddenly nice to her). Also, Prof. Yang will most probably have a love interest who'll be "the only exception" type LMAO

If JoonSolA/SolHwi happens, I don't think it's gonna happen through fake dating. For one thing, fake dating is similar to coming up with fake evidence. Joon Hwi and Sol A are LAW STUDENTS, and righteous ones if I may add. Remember, Sol B likes Joon Hwi so fake dating would also complicate stuff. The only way for SolHwi to actually happen in my view is if Joon Hwi potentially admits that the reason why he can't be Ye Seul's other man is because he likes someone else—someone who spends a great amount of time with him, and for a long time already.... Ji Ho! Just kidding, Kang Sol A of course.

Can’t sleep so I gotta share this HAHAHA

Before I get into this, please be reminded that I’m only a screenwriting and filmography geek. I am not, by any means, a professional. Please take everything I am about to say with a grain of salt.

A lot of SolHwi nation are pressed over the fact that Joon Hwi might’ve said “Sol B” at the stand. While, I will share my analysis on that some other time, a quick food for thought. Firstly, take a look at this image:

The camera is not focused on Joon Hwi, rather the two Sols. Now, I’m gonna walk you through this quickly but sufficiently. If you look at the scene still closely (and I mean really closely), you can see that the camera is a bit more focused on Sol A. It may seem as if Sol B is clearer, but wearing white helped her stand out a bit. In addition, if you crop the image in a certain way, Joon Hwi and Sol A are left in the frame.

What does this mean? Again, take all of this with a grain of salt... The subtle difference between the clarity of Sol A and B could hint a lot of things, but what’s focused here is their relationship with Joon Hwi. Now, it doesn’t automatically mean a romantic relation, but to sum it all up: camera angles matter in giving hints to audiences and we need to talk about that more.

Okay, but did anyone else catch Joon Hwi saying "I always remember a face," to Sol A? That means he remembered her as the girl from the bookstore at Criminal Law with Yangcrates.
