Vaguely cyberpunk AU where Hickey is a human who has been afflicted with an illness that slowly turns his body mechanical and Jopson is an android who inexplicably starts discovering real flesh and blood in his machinery and they fuck about it just to see if it will somehow cure them both

I really want to lock Hickey in a dog cage and put a muzzle on him. I had this idea of a mirror!version of The Terror, where everything is worse than canon, as if things could get any worse. But the whole point of this version, of course, is a more inventive and interesting system of punishments. What else. Let’s take a second away from corporal punishments for the officers! Ordinary sailors are no better than dogs, as one wise man once said, ahem, so bad dogs get muzzled and sent to cramped cages. Hickey is very poorly trained and has a bad influence on the crew, so a cage is the best option for him. As a jopkey fan I want Jopson’s duty to be coming to him, feeding him, and checking whether his behavior has improved. Then he can rejoin the others, but of course still wearing the muzzle. He’s a dangerous animal.

Oh my god, I suddenly started thinking again about that AU where Jopson is a sex worker - this whole kind of nonsense that I love - and I realized it’s such a playground for jopkey. I’m sure that for our imagination nothing is impossible, and canon can take on the most bizarre forms in our hands, so jopkey is real and absolutely achievable. Jopson and Hickey have too much in common to just ignore it.

If they were both sex workers, they’d understand each other better. They’d end up on the same side for a while. Sharing the same hardships, they’d get to know each other pretty well. They could even protect each other and all that. An AU with sex work is just the answer to all my prayers. Stay tuned for more interesting jopkey facts from the brothel 🙏

I want to come up with a scenario where Jopson and Hickey genuinely team up for something. Of course, only for a very short, tense period of time, but it would be amazing. Together they would look so cute, like a couple of serial killers

Of course, the rifle is Jopson’s acknowledged weapon, but you know what else would suit him as a symbol, just as the knife suits Hickey? Scissors. I can imagine a great scene with Jopson armed with bloody scissors (guess whose blood is on them).

There’s this trope where characters are forced to be stuck together in a tight, enclosed space against their will, with all the awkwardness, irritation and sexual tension mixed in, like seven minutes in heaven, but accidental and unwanted.

Anyway, I need that with Hickey and Jopson. They're trapped in a closet, and Hickey drives Jopson to violence (meanwhile, Hickey was just trying to be sweet with him...), but it's so cramped... Every move feels way too intimate, stirring something weird inside you. You try to hit the other one, but you can't even get a swing in properly. In the end, of course, Hickey jerks Jopson off and comes himself from Jopson trying to strangle him.

Whoever releases them from the closet will get quite the surprise (Crozier: haha Hickey you're banging my steward).

Being stuck on the same ship after that just makes it twice as unbearable for one of them, and twice as fun for the other.

I really enjoy thinking about the android Jopson, and among all my headcanons about him, there’s one tiny detail I especially love - this beautiful, incredibly efficient, one-of-a-kind mechanism would fascinate Hickey for two reasons: Jopson is both a luxury item and he belongs to Crozier. He needs to possess it.
