I never had an office before. Just a corner of a room that was where The Magic Happened. Did you know you don't have to live that way??? I didn't.
I have the opportunity to FINALLY put up some of the art I've hoarded for years.
I have had this print on canvas for the better part of a decade and had NOWHERE to hang it.
Now it will watch over me while I toil, inspiring and comforting me.
I got violent hiccups in the middle of my shift and it turns out they absolutely can be a migraine aura symptom, so hey, learn something new every day.
Okay, but I kind of love my impossible work nerds.
I have to go to work today. I can't afford not to. I have to pull my matted dirty hair up into a bun, get past the fact that my head is throbbing and my whole body itches, and go to work. I have to kiss one of my best friends goodbye for the next six months as he goes off to school, and I have to accept the fact that it might be more than six months. I have to go to work today, for less than I'm worth and less than I can live on, to do a job that hasn't held my interest in months. Time to change things again. But for now I have to go to work today.
WE HAVE MUSHROOMS ON OUR LOG AT WORK AGAIN!!!
...and I had to leave work super early today because new meds made me dizzy and sick to my stomach. Right as I was finally getting to do some of my new work at Supplement Head, too. Yay...
I swear that packing peanuts are just St. Expeditus's idea of a fantastic prank to pull on humans.
A customer got excited about needing a price check today because it gave her "more time to talk"--to me--"about Trump" and why I should vote for him. At first I seriously thought she was joking. And then she wasn't. And I just had to try my hardest to pretend to be interested and deny my fight-or-flight impulses. I am the worst liar.
