#jordan fabrics pattern

Finally trying this stupid* pattern called Roundabout from Jordan Fabrics.

I had a bunch of Kaffe Fassett fat quarters and some 6+ meters of white on white that I got on sale at half price.

I’m pretty happy with my points so far, but we’ll see how they do as I get more blocks done LMAO

*stupid as in I love how it looks but hate making eight fabrics meet in a point.

I needed to do something colourful after all that black and grey for my brother!

This is a Jordan Fabric’s pattern called “Chain Links” and is a variation of the irish chain pattern. I’ve made it before and it was lovely, but that one went to someone else so I am doing another \o/

Batiks! I’ve been wanting to try Jordan Fabric’s Kings Crown pattern for a while, no matter how much I dislike half square triangles (and flying geese) so I pulled some batiks I found on sale out of my stash and cut all the pieces I’ll need.

I have no idea how the colour combination will work out, but I am excited to find out.

Nine fat quarters from Walmart that I thought were pretty. I added the white-on-white from my stash and did something simple and soft with them. The pattern is a Jordan Fabric’s free pattern called It’s Hip to Be Square.

Once the blocks are together imma need to find some kind of border fabric. Not looking forward to that LOL

Found a few (14) brown and tan fat quarters and decided to try Jordan Fabrics Churn Dash.

Too tired to figure out what size it’ll end up being, but the pattern says 47”x65”.

Also? Ugh. HST trimming.

Finally finished binding this generous twin Beads quilt. It’s laid out over the king bed, and it’s def long enough LOL

Okay. So I wanted to do a one colour beads quilt and picked two different blacks. Once I laid it out I thought: wouldn’t it be cool to have one of the blocks be a white on white to stand out?

I sewed the single white block in and decided I liked it.

But then my little brother came by and saw it and went: You ruined it. That quilt top was perfect until you put that white block in.

And. I can see why he’d say that, he’s very much a more black then white guy. And I do still have the black block I replaced, so I could, if I wanted to, switch them back out.

But I really do like that singular white block. I even named the quilt “Guiding Light”.

So. I haven’t changed it out, but am considering it.

I mean, it would be easy enough to just whip up another one with two blues or two purples or something, the pattern is quick and easy.

Yet another Beads on the go. All the blocks cut out and 16 finished.

A new fabric line just came in to the shop and I took one look at it and needed to have some. And I’m not really a yellow kinda gal.
