Most descriptions will be brief and succinct because I’ve been elaborating on them over here lol

All of them are priced in USD and with estimated shipping to the States. Obviously if shipping inside Canada it’ll be less and if to Australia ect. it will be more.

You can DM or email ([email protected]) or send asks if you want more information, or like the look of something but would like to commission different colours or theme.

Commission information:

I usually work with the person who wants it to decide on a pattern I’m willing to make, and then a theme (like forest animals, or floral) and/or colour scheme that they want.

My prices vary depending on how long it takes to make the quilt, but my general guidelines in USD are:

Baby size, around 36x40 inches: $75-$150

Throw size, 50x65: $200-$300

Twin size, 65x90: $300-$400

Queen size, 85x95: $500-$700

King size, 110x100: $700-$1100

Anything bigger is $1100+

There are also bags, table runners, and wall hangings, which vary in size and go for anywhere from $30 up to $150.

And then the shipping on top of that.

Most of the quilts that I make are not for anyone specific unless I outright say so, I usually just want to make it. They are generally for sale, so if you see one you would like, you can always head over to my availablequilts blog to see if it’s up for sale. Or you can DM me or email me.

Time for something a little different.

The shop got a handful of sunflower prints in and this one was so pretty. I decided I better do something with it!

I was planning on making a one blocks wonder to surround a big sunflower panel, but I forgot how slow and tedious making these are. Especially after whipping out half a dozen nine patch quilts LMAO

Anyway. We’ll see how many I can make before I get tired of them. Might use the panel, might just make a lap with the blocks.

This three are all one block, just spun around to the three possible configurations. I have to do that with each one (i don’t have to, i could just throw ‘em together with the first layout I do) and decide which I like the best.

And of course they lose a quarter inch all the way around during the sewing process, so they look slightly different again after I put them together.

Wow. I thought the blocks were too busy when I was making them, and they were, if they had been by themselves. After dropping them around the panel they’re lovely!

Now to decide how to straighten the edges of the blocks so they lay flush to the panel, and do the same to the outside edge so the quilt has straight edges.

I did a blue/teal/green chandelier variation a while ago and recently sold it, reminding me about it.

And about the fact I had picked up red and beige to make another one LOL

So here we go, another modified chandelier.

I already fucked up some sashing, but thankfully caught it before I sewed too much LOL this is wrong side of fabric to right side of fabric, when it should be right side to right side.

Black&Whites with dark fuschia pink.

Forgot to take a photo of the ten fat quarters I picked out, but you can see some of the patterns in the few blocks I’ve got done!

100 block pieces and this one is the only one I have enough of a problem with to seam rip and sew again. Thank god lol.

Last border on, just waiting for quilting now.

One of the customers in the shop told me that it reminded them of snake scales, and honestly? I can see that.

Threw this on the long arm finally just to get it off my WIP pile LOL

I was gonna go with grey thread for quilting, or black, but I found this Wild Plum and it was a perfect match for the accent colour. Granted it doesn’t show up much in the actual quilting, but I know it matches LOL

Used a black Northcott Canvas print for the binding since I had some left over and none of the fuchsia. I like it, looks good from the front and back.

I don’t remember what the name of this quilting pattern is, but i really like it. And it would look very good smaller.

I said I was gonna make another yellow/orange Luminous 9-Patch, and I found some beautiful blues too.

So, some mass cutting later and I have two quilts on the go, initial cuts done, 9-patches ready to be strip pieced for both.

I’ll probably split this post into an orange thread and a blue one, depending on how fast these go together.

Ohhh i love blue so much…

I still love the blue.

And I love the grey with blue flower in the center.

AND I love the quilting! I used a solid aqua on the back and then used teal thread to show it off. It’s so pretty.

Finished it with the same outer border fabric, as per usual for this pattern.

I am feeling a little worn out of the Luminous Nine Patch thou, so I am not in the mood to be doing any more (without a commission for it LOL) atm.

I will probably come back to it to do more, but now for a while I think.

Coming together. I think this one might be a bit brighter than the first was. I only used the second from the middle fabric in both.

And can I say that I love the flame fabric on the outside? I just… it’s so fun!

Oh my god. I love this one as much as the first.

I immediately took it in to quilt it the day I finished putting the last border on.

LOOK AT THIS BACKING! Do you not love it??!! Fiery lil dragons!!!

I used orange thread on the top and bottom, and the quilting pattern I believe is called Nightshade. I love that it looks like flames crawling up the quilt.

Another Halloween quilt! Got it finished before Halloween lol. Pattern is Lotus Blossom by Cozy Quilt Designs and I used two accent colours (green and purple) instead of just one.

So… i know I said I got this done in time for halloween, but.

I did not.

I got it quilted, yes. But I had not put the binding on. It was sitting, unfinished, binding ready to go, on my WIP pile for the last.

Two years.

Oops.

Oh well! It’s done now!

So, the Hovering by Canuck Quilter Designs pattern went together in like, a day. Even when I had to math it out because I didn’t feel like buying the pattern for real canadian dollars.

And it used up some of my scraps from my 2.5” squares, so I of course made a second one in a different colourway.

The blue purple teal has a dark grey shadow on white background and the yellow orange red has a brown shadow on beige.

Nice throw size quilts for the couch. The binding for each will match the accent colour in the single floating squares.

Got these two lap quilts off the long arm and put the binding on.

Gotta say, I love the binding being the same as the accent squares, really brings the whole thing together.

I did the same quilting pattern on both, at the same size. It’s called Moulin Rouge and it’s probably my second favourite after Pink Lemonade.

Blue on the back of the blue and red on the back of the red ofc. I was looking for a dark orange but all we had was fuck off bright orange and it wasn’t speaking to me LOL

Another table runner. Again, found small amounts (1/4 meter or less) folded together. I’m 99% positive this was supposed to be for the same pattern with the dragonflies and lotus flowers, but I was itching to do some more of my favourite stars from the sampler and since this fabric wasn’t already cut I decided to try it out.

The stars are fab. The blue could have been lighter, and I might trim the long sides down a little to match the thinner sashing, but over all I like it.

Found these pieces of fabric folded up together all cut and ready to sew. Thankfully I remembered the table runner pattern I planned on doing!

It… is not as straight as I wanted it to be, but a little more ironing and then quilting it should work that out LOL

Most definitely quilt it in gold, but I’ll have to see if we have a dragonfly e2e pattern on the long arm. If not, I suppose I could just do a loopy meander on my domestic. It’s been a while and I shouldn’t get out of practice.

I found a bunch of smaller pieces, like 10”x15” or so of these beautiful asian prints. Some have metallic, some don’t, but they look so nice.

I decided I’d try and pair them up in contrasting colours and prints and make a bunch of different star blocks.

After I’ve made them, I’ll sash them and see how big the quilt gets.

If it gets too big, I’ll make two smaller throws instead of a king LOL

Some of them didn’t work out so well because I did not pick contrasting enough fabrics, but overall I think it went well. Making each star was fun because it was always different.

And I really like some of these stars. The second row, third column is really nice. So is fourth row, first column. And the bottom right, fifth row fourth column.

Now I have to pick a sashing and cornerstone fabric, and then cobble together a border and then I can get it on the long arm.

So. Curves. Again.

I still don’t like making them, but they still look so good.

Also, these are definitely more my colours!

Also also, i did not take progress photos because, well. I forgot. So you just get to enjoy the quilt!

I used an ultra plush poly batting and cuddletex backing making this sucker so thick it was a pain to quilt. It looks great though, and is as soft as fuck. Baby blue quilting thread and an easy butterfly doodle for the quilting pattern. I would have done denser quilting if my batting had been thinner.

But she done, and she pretty. She may get donated to the care home in a couple months if it doesn’t sell.

So, as I’m sure y’all know, I got into The Walking Dead this past winter. I did make a Walking Dead quilt and purse with licensed Walking Dead fabric.

HOWEVER.

There is a quilt in season 2 at the Greene farm that I saw covering Beth when I was watching that I immediately knew I wanted to recreate.

I asked on reddit if anyone had any screencaps of the quilt and was very kindly provided with a couple.

Now, I couldn’t find identical fabrics, but I got as close as possible that was available in my small town (as I am not interested in ordering the fabric online and paying shipping for a fandom quilt LOL).

Like I said, not identical, but I like them.

And here is the start of the stars. I’m strip piecing them since it’s faster and easier this way than cutting each individual diamond and sewing that much bias together.

(The plan is to quilt it with this Brains stipple pattern just for shits and giggles 🎉)

What are your tools of the trade? 🪡

Just the basics really. Sewing machine, needles, thread, pins, clips, rotary cutter and board, acrylic rulers.

Now, i do have a large variety of all of those things, but if I had to pare it down:

90/14 needles

Gutermann sew all thread

Flat head pins

45mm rotary cutter

24”x36” rotary cutting board

6.5”x24” ruler

Scissors

Seam ripper

Iron

Pencil

You could make do with a smaller board and ruler of course, but I do a lot of strip cutting off yardage, so the large size works very well for me.

My extras, that I’ve collected over time because they come in handy but aren’t necessary would be:

Pair of pliers

Painters tape

Stiletto

Safety pins

Dress pins

Flexible tape measure

Fork

Anti slip mats

Ruler grips

Clappers

Thread net spool saver

Extra thread cone holder

There are probably more, but that’s all I can think of off the top of my head!

I couldn’t resist starting another Luminous once I saw this line of fabric. It’s called Color Collage by Shelley Davies from Northcott and it’s been in the back of my mind for ages.

I’m using six colours in the piecing, which should make it 92”x109” (unless I mess with the pattern even more and take one of the rows out completely) which will technically be a king size LOL The seventh colour pink is gonna be used on the binding so I get to use alllll the colours we had in stock in the shop 🎉

Someone please stop me, I can’t stop making these fucking things lmao 😭😭😭😂😂😂 I had a plan to do something else but I couldn’t help it!

Okay, blocks done and middle rows complete!

I did take one row out of the centre so there are only two red centre blocks instead of three. 109” is too big for my queen bed, but I can work with 101” LOL

Technically this will still fit a king at 92”x101”, but I am a blanket hog and that feels like a really skinny king to me.

ALSO??

Because I altered the amount of rows (downsizing) but did not alter the amount of blocks I made, I ended up with just enough left over to make two matching pillow cases! They are even on point like the quilt.

This is gonna look spectacular on a bed.

Not as big as the greyscale king for my brother, but still. It feels big.

As you can see a little from the roll on the back of the long arm, I found a fun rainbow universe print to put on it with all the colours on the front.

I’m quilting the pillowcases too, though in a tighter pattern so they can handle more washing.

I can’t wait to put this on a bed.
