Stash!!!!!

I found these in my stash (looking for something else ofc) and immediately wanted to do a Luminous Nine Patch.

Now, now listen.

I know I seem to be making a few of these.

But they turn out gorgeous! How could I not make them?? They’re so easy and fun to do.

Yes, a pox of the house of rowling, but i have an eight year old niece who’s been swearing up and down for over a year that she’s a hufflepuff.

There’s probably too much blue, but there was only so much hp fabric i could get my hands on. (And i sure as fuck wasn’t about to buy some and contribute to that shit. This is all thrifted stuff i got for free.)

I have one more yellow border to add before I put this one the longarm and quilt it. I’m gonna do yellow cuddletex on the back and bind in the black with yellow dots.

Definitely gonna make this pattern again because it looks great, but high key wanna spit in disgust every time I look at this particular version.

My first try at a disappearing nine-patch. Did I ruin a few blocks in the process? Yes. Did I figure out how to avoid that next time? Also yes, so I call it a win.

I woke up this morning and decided to make a baby quilt for my sister! Spent all day at the machine and managed to finish the top 🥰

Beloved quilts in a number of different patterns decorate this pink-and-white guest cottage on a Michigan lake. Tufting (hand tied quilting) adds textural interest to the pieced Star quilt on the bed. A fragment of a quilt top becomes a cushion for the wicker rocking chair.

Ernie Ball Music Man that we stripped and refinished in this beautiful transparent bluish purple (Its more purple in real life, but has a slight bluish look in the photos.) Came in extremely faded transparent blue, so much so it was practically plain transparent with no color. Let the appliqué begin! Quilting makes me realize that I should have paid more attention in geometry and math, ESPECIALLY if I’m going to design my own Cathedral mandala quilt!
