2 - hurt/comfort dealing with the aftermath of elmira & loss of andre
• I have no idea if this was what you guys were thinking when sent me the messages, but I hope you find entertaining.
¤¤¤
You two haven't really spoken since both you and Jordan got back into Godolkin, and you could try to say that it was on Jordan, they were the one who barely looked at you since everything that happened; that could be an easy way to deal with it. An escape to deal with your own hurt and guilt.
Except for the fact that wouldn't be true, since you also didn't try any move either. Not because you didn’t want or not miss them; cause you fucking missed them every day. But to see Jordan again, talk to Jordan again, felt more scary than anything you ever experienced.
Almost like by having them walking around and all you could see was Elmira and Andre dying all over again.
And you've been running away from these memories the hardest you could.
Cause they were still an open wound that you just had been masking as if it wasn’t there, cause if you really decided to admit the fucking wound was there you would break and have a break-down in Godolkin when everyone was watching you so closely would be the dumbest move you could ever make. And you couldn't afford to be dumb, not in the current circumstances.
So you're not proud to admit it, but the truth is you tried your best to avoid them, watching from a distance just cause you couldn't help it and needed to know they were okay.
And your attempts had succeeded for a while, cause, again, they weren’t looking for you either.
And that also hurt, no matter how selfish or immature it could sound, the fact that Jordan didn’t want to see you hurt like a thousand knives being shoved inside of you all at once.
Things stayed like that until the day you couldn't just ignore them or act like you didn't care about them at all, no matter how conflicted you were.
Jordan had climbed on that stage and talked to everyone over there about what really happened, they gave up in that moment the thing that for years was their biggest and only dream, more than number #1 on the rankings, but people praising them, people liking them. The validation they always searched for, the one they always thought would be the meaning and fix everything, that was what they were risking in that exact moment. And that became more clear with the way the screams of praise become hateful in such a short instant.
Your eyes finally met them, and unlike other times that happened by accident last week, this time it stayed there for a while, and you were able to see the fear, but also they weren’t having regrets.
You ran through them as they were told to leave the stage cause the situation in there started to become real messy and full of rage, when you found them there were a discussion between them and Cipher, you wouldn't expect things to be great, obviously, but the way Cipher was acting, his gaze on Jordan, his posture, something about him was so fucking creepy, she didn't trust him. She hated how close he was from Jordan and how intimidated they were looking now.
And for a brief instant, if you weren’t imagining things, Jordan really looked relieved to see you.
“Can I talk to Jordan for a moment?” You asked, directioning your question more to Cipher than Jordan, you needed that man fucking gone as quick as possible. If Jordan didn't want you close after he left that was another thing.
“We're in the middle of something.” His tone was controlled, but still creepy.
“And I'm sure you'll still have later,” you said, trying to sound controlled just as him, but for you, unfortunately, the attempt wasn’t that easy. “It will be quick, I promise.” You reassured.
“See you in my office in ten minutes, don't fuck it up anything anymore in my absence.” Cipher didn't even bother to look at you, his focus only in Jordan now.
You really hated that man.
When he left you expected the tension to dissipate, but that didn't really happen, because it was still the two of you and the emotional baggage you two had was unprecedentedly shitty.
“So you still know how to talk to me?” Their defensive tone didn't really catch you by surprise, cause it was Jordan after all, and you still knew them better than anyone else; but you wouldn't say that didn't hurt.
“I'm not sure, but I had to try,” you started, hesitant. “What you did on that stage, Jordan…”
This time they looked at you, and their eyes locked in you, for real. In a way it hadn't happened in a long while. A conflictual look, you could see how there were so many emotions and thoughts going through them in a speed that was probably too hard to process.
You wish you could at least hug them or say anything that would give some comfort, but you clearly didn’t have that power over them anymore.
“If you are here to tell me how much stupid I was for something that you don't need, I can still hear people screaming from here and Cipher was pretty much efficient in that, you don't need to worry.” They finally spoke again, and you felt attacked. But you didn't respond cause you realized there was something else. “You seemed to be doing good in that for all these weeks.” The final punch was throwed, and this time you had to bite your lip to prevent yourself from crying.
“I'm sorry for not trying to reach you since we got back, okay?” You said after a while, giving up on keeping appearances. “To see you again is not easy for me.” You explained.
And even though you knew that didn't exactly help your case, you felt like at least you owned them honesty. No matter how hard it was.
“What you did over there, it was brave, I wouldn’t have the courage to do something like that,” you confessed. You saw how they were about to say something, but you didn't give them any chance cause now you had to talk. If you waited more you would lose the moment. “I wanted to talk to you, Jordan I fucking missed you and I still do even with you in front of me now, I just…” Your voice cracked, the tears burning on your throat, you still didn't want to cry. You had to keep going. “Look at you now it’s also remembering everything that happened in Elmira, when I remember what happened with Andre, Jordan this is too much for me and look where we are now. I can't break again, to do this here… People are constantly watching us, Vought is.”
“To look at you feels the same to me,” they confessed. Seeming on the verge of tears just like her.
The distance between them was almost non-existent now.
“But I still wanted you to not run away from me, cause the memories are fucking terrible, I still have nightmares every single night with Andre dying and how powerless and useless that made me feel and scared. But everything becomes even worse by not having you, by knowing you're so close but you don't want to fucking see me.” They didn’t even try to hold tears and by the salt taste in your mouth you knew you were in the same state.
It was an impulsive move, if you were really thinking you would never, cause you were seeing the situation in different optics and Jordan would hate it if you do it, but the words they said really messed with your brain. So you just wrapped arms around them, hugging tight, in a way that not even when you were close you would do it, cause neither of you were hugging people. But the moment was so different from any other that didn't matter.
“I'm sorry, I really am.”
And you knew that didn't change everything, but when Jordan wrapped arms around you to, you realized that maybe you two still could fix things and maybe to somehow heal together.
I won't do it cause unfortunately I feel like my writing phase on mariejordan it's really coming to an end but I really think someone should write a mariejordan story inspired by this movie.
Jordan’s mother had a knack for knowing exactly when their guard was down before dropping a bomb big enough to leave their ears ringing. Like today. She spent the first fifteen minutes of this phone call casually puttering about her kitchen and discussing her friends' gardens and the neighborhood drama, lulling them into a false sense of security. Their muscles slowly relaxed and they settled into their dressing room couch. Should just be a normal call this time. They started running through choreo in their head until a name snapped them back to the present.
“Jenny Boccabella’s back home with her parents now, getting her real estate license.” A strange spike of schadenfreude hit them square in the chest. Jenny had only danced to get close to them, and then to keep everyone’s eyes on her. She’d never had the drive or the skill to get far, and they’d heard through the grapevine that she’d only gotten into Juilliard because of an uncle’s generous donation. “Guess Juilliard didn’t work out for her. Poor girl, she was a beautiful ballerina.” Jordan had to bite down on their tongue to keep from scoffing aloud. She’s a beautiful girl, but she’s always been a piss poor dancer.“You’re so lucky, male dancers have it so much easier.” She said it so casually, like it was obvious, but it hit them like a punch to the gut. They felt their body shift and shrink on instinct, their tell-tale bob hanging in their face.
And all of a sudden, they were six again, hearing their mother cry about losing her baby boy the first time they shifted. And they were nine, promising their father that they would never shift at school again if they could just keep dancing, not understanding why they had to hide their power - or why it made their bones itch to stay a boy all day. And they’re eleven, showing their girlfriend their biggest secret and watching her face twist in disgust.
The sharp tang of iron hit their tongue and they realized they’d bitten their tongue hard enough to taste blood, forcing back the desire to scream I’m not a boy into the other end of their phone. They did what they always do, what they have to do. They shoved their queerness and their femininity and every part of them that didn’t fit into a box in the back of their mind.
How else are they supposed to survive in a world with no room for someone like them?
“Rehearsal is starting. Sorry, mom. Love you.” They mumbled, forcing their smaller hands to cooperate and hang up the phone before she could say anything further.
But they made no move to leave the dressing room. They were frozen in place, willing their feet to move towards the door and not moving an inch.
They don’t know how long they stood there, watching the wooden door as if it would move on its own.
Instead, a tentative knock broke them out of their stupor.
--
After the first time Ella walked in on Jordan in the dressing room, she wasn’t about to risk pissing them off again, especially not this close to the recital. Things were actually good between them right now, and (though she’d never admit it) she didn’t want to risk losing their smile again. But she’d run through her solos on her own all day Sunday and frankly, she needed Jordan’s eye to help her with a few transitions. She tried not to be too irritated that they weren’t already in the rehearsal room when she got off work, changing quickly and forcing herself to go through an overly detailed warm up. After she’d run through her stretches twice and they still hadn’t shown up, she braved the hallway, tip-toeing towards their dressing room and knocking on the door. She was expecting a gruff “Just a sec, Jackson!” or even a pissy “Calm your shit, freshie, I’m almost ready!”
Instead, the door just creaked open slightly - almost like an invitation.
And against her better judgment, she went in, closing the door behind her quickly when she saw their smaller form dwarfed by the cushy green couch and the shine in their eyes. Looking in their eyes felt like looking at her past self on her mother’s porch.
She wished she had the right words to say. The perfect balance of understanding and sarcastic that would make their signature half smile stretch across their face. She wanted to hug them so tight that everything that hurt would have no room to linger. But Jordan’s not a hugger, and she has no way to even know where to start. So instead, she just sat next to them and let the silence stretch.
“Everyone who knows about, this,” they gestured at their current form. “thinks it... takes away from my masculinity. Like I’m some kind of... drag queen. But it’s not like that. I don’t feel like a different person when I’m like this. I don’t feel like just a man or just a woman. I’m just me.” They sighed, slumping even further into the velvet cushions. “I don’t understand why I’m so hard for people to understand.”
“It doesn’t sound that complicated to me.” Ella said after a moment. “Like... spring is technically half-summer, half-winter. But it isn’t just sometimes summer, sometimes winter. It’s a unique season of new life and changing landscapes. And if spring was all summer, or all winter... the whole thing would crumble under the pressure.” She paused again, worrying her lower lip. “Sorry. That probably sounded trite.”
Jordan shook their head, clearly their throat roughly and standing up. “No, you’re fine. Let’s go dance.” They shifted, shaking off the emotional conversation like dust.
She nodded, hurrying behind them and cursing herself for opening her big mouth.
Jordan’s strides ate up the hallway, and they tried to subtly wipe at their eyes, hoping Ella didn’t notice the way her simple understanding entirely undid them.
Maybe there was room for them to be a whole person with her.

Chapter 1 Chapter 2
Bella POV
~1 YEAR LATER~
Life at God U has certainly been, if nothing else, incredibly entertaining. News had gotten out at some point that Cate was dating Luke, so now she was talked about nearly as much as he was. That on its own was bad enough, not even accounting for him already being Brink's prized show pony. I honestly felt bad for the guy, I really did, but there wasn't exactly much I could do - especially given the circumstances.
I had managed to hold my spot at #4, which was pretty much the only thing I considered worth doing nowadays. Yes, I wanted Cate to be happy, even if that may supersede my own, but goddamn did it hurt. In the mean time, I'd slowly gotten used to calling myself just her friend.
It honestly felt good, I didn't feel a burning sense of jealousy anymore, although I often spent the night in Jordan's room whenever Cate and Luke decided to play 'hide the zucchini'. Not fun to wake up to the sound of snogging, let me tell ya.
On a better note, Jordan and I have become practically inseparable, even with them now being Professor Brink's T.A. and out of the dorm for most of the day. The biggest difference between us now was Jordan's affinity for drugs and alcohol, which they thankfully toned down when I was present. One time, I inhaled a bit of second-hand smoke and it made me sick for a whole day, so they tried not to have anything lingering when I came over.
Today, however, was a special day, since the new wave of freshmen were arriving. That meant that campus would be a lot busier than normal, which also meant that I would get an even bigger spotlight - oh joy. I pulled out my phone, checking my itinerary for the day. 'Luke's got training at the stadium soon, and I'm his opponent, again.'
I sighed and stood up from my bed, quickly making myself presentable. Nothing too flashy, just a bit of eyeliner and nail polish. I then donned my superhero outfit, complete with my now trademarked trench coat and balaclava.
The outfit also had armor pieces covering my torso and legs, which allowed for both flexibility and maximum dexterity. Being at a school dedicated to superhero creation certainly has its perks.
I'd also slowly gotten more comfortable with touching people other than Cate, mostly due to the new gloves I had built, which included a built-in power dampener of my own design, activated by simply flicking my wrist twice.
I grabbed a small black case, opened it, and carefully put the special contacts in one at a time. "OW ! Putain de merde (Fucking shit), that still feels weird ! It's worth it to not get blinded by Luke, though.", I thought out loud while blinking rapidly, giving the contacts a chance to settle & integrate. Once they had, I gently dabbed the corners of my eyes with a towel, wiping any stray tears away.
With my outfit fully assembled, I grabbed my key card and left the room, making my way to the stadium. Along the way, several students waved and took selfies, which still annoyed me, but being somewhat socially accepted was a worthwhile trade. I'll take my victories where I can get 'em.
Today was rather hot, which had the unfortunate side effect of making me sweat, just a little bit. In retrospect, my outfit's colors and armor may not have been the smartest thing, not to mention the black bodysuit underneath. 'Oh well, it's flexible and easily removable.', I reasoned, feeling the beads of sweat occasionally trickle down my face.
I finally reached the stadium, and as I walked through the gate, numerous scattered clusters of students came into view, each containing at least 15-10 people, sitting in the stands, with the vast majority watching Luke. I rolled my eyes, knowing they were only here to gawk when he powered up. I shuddered, remembering the first time I happened to catch him powering down. 'Never gonna get those images out of my head. Yuck.'
I glanced around and saw Cate standing opposite Luke, most likely prepping him. She then looked in my direction and smirked, which made me roll my eyes and smirk back. I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder, so I turned, seeing Andre behind me, also smirking. "Best of luck. He's been training for weeks to try and beat you.", He joked, patting me on the back.
I chuckled, running a hand through my wavy brunette hair. "Well, he's gonna have to try really hard, Mon Ami. You may wanna get those two apart, though.", I said, pointing to Luke and Cate, who had started making out during our short conversation.
When he noticed, he scoffed and jogged over to them while I stood on the sidelines. I waited maybe 2 or 3 seconds before jogging after him, and I vaguely heard the end of his statement, something along the lines of "Tongue in your head, head in the game.", which made me nearly fake-barf.
They evidently saw my little gesture and chuckled as I skipped over to my side of the ring, doing various stretches to make sure my joints wouldn't suddenly lock up. After a minute or two, Luke walked over to his side, standing opposite me as we squared up, initiating a staring contest.
I smirked, the sun no longer beaming into my eyes thanks to the contacts. Luke apparently took my smirk as the sign to go, lighting his entire body on fire, incinerating the tank top and workout shorts he was wearing a second ago.
The entire stadium erupted in cheers and applause, which was white noise to me at this point. "You ready to finally get your ass kicked ?", Luke taunted, and I chuckled. He knew damn well that I enjoyed a good verbal sparring. "Says the one who lost before, Flaming Nudist.", I quipped, and Luke sputtered, "PFFFT, good one !" He took a good minute to get his genuine laughter out, before suddenly launching a blast of fire at me.
"Shit !", I yelled, jumping into the air, thankfully avoiding the blast. "That was a dirty move !", I yelled, grabbing 5 cards, charging them up, and throwing them at Luke. He barely had time to react before the cards blew up in his face, throwing him back a few feet.
Neither of us were really trying, we never had. It was more a super-powered game of Chicken, seeing who would last longer, although neither of us would ever admit to losing. Granted, that meant that all of our matches had ended in stalemates, but I didn't really care, and I doubt Luke did, either.
He sent another blast my way, and I dodged effortlessly. "C'mon, you ain't even tryin' this time.", He playfully whined, so I grabbed three knives, charging and throwing them at Luke one at a time, forcing him to blast each one, which took his attention off of me.
While he was distracted, I snuck behind him and grabbed my compressed staff, another useful tool I'd created while building my armor. I pressed the extending button, the 1' cylinder growing to 6' as I backed up a few steps.
I gripped the staff like a spear before jogging forward, slamming the far end into the ring mat. All my momentum carried me up into the air and flung me towards Luke, who looked totally confused at my move. I extended both legs, kicking him with as much force as I could muster and throwing as much of my weight behind it as I could.
The force of the impact threw him to the ground, and I landed right on top of him, effectively pinning him. For good measure, I drew one of my knives and loosely held it to his throat. "Nice try, but you're gonna have to try a lot harder than that if you wanna beat me, Mon Ami.", I smirked, rubbing my victory in his face yet again.
I stepped off of him, offering him a hand, which he took as he chuckled, "I suppose this round goes to you." I raised an eyebrow, "You suppose?" He smirked and powered down, making me glance away. "Sheesh Mon Ami, have a little shame.", I muttered, and he chuckled as Cate walked over and wrapped a towel around Luke's waist, thankfully allowing me to look at him again.
"Thanks for the match, Luke. Maybe next time you win, eh ?", I joked, holding out my hand for a fist-bump, which he reciprocated while chuckling. "Sure, whatever you say, Bella.", He playfully snipped, and I rolled my eyes, smirking as I turned to Cate, who hugged me gently.
"Do you always have to win, Cajun ?", She asked, and I chuckled playfully, "You know I do, Cher." She giggled, unwrapping herself from the hug. "You coming with us tomorrow night ?", She asked, and I raised an eyebrow, "Uh, what's tomorrow night ?" Cate rolled her eyes and wrapped her arms around my neck. "Our outing, remember ! With Jordan, Andre, and Luke ?"
My eyebrows hit my hairline as the pieces suddenly clicked into place., "Ah, that ! Yes, Cher, I will be joining you. Don't try and get me on anything, though. You know how I reacted last time." She giggled and nodded, "See you then, Cajun."
She walked over to Luke and started chatting, but I couldn't hear them at this distance, so I chuckled and walked off, leaving the stadium and heading towards the Lamplighter School of Crime-Fighting. 'Hopefully Jordan's not too busy.', I prayed, wanting to catch up with my BFF.
I entered the building, passing a few students idling around until finally rounding the corner that led to Brink's office. I saw Jordan sitting at their desk in female form, absentmindedly listening to their music.
'This is too perfect.', I mused, smirking as I slowly snuck up behind Jordan and leaned over them. I shouted, "Nice music !" and they screamed, jumping out of their chair and spinning around as they fell onto the carpet ass-first.
I doubled over laughing, tears running down my face by the dozen, while Jordan was red in the face from embarrassment. After a few seconds, I collected myself and held out a hand. "I'm sorry, Mon Ami, that was too easy." They groaned and took my hand, standing up and walking back to their chair.
They punched me in the shoulder and sat down, now sporting a cheeky grin. "What're you doing here, I thought you and Luke were sparring today ?", They asked while slipping one headphone back in. I chuckled, "I just finished that, actually. He still couldn't beat me." They scoffed, "No surprise there, you're the only one that's ever beat him."
Out of my peripheral, I saw someone walking up to us, so I gently poked Jordan's shoulder and leaned against their desk, trying not to be a disturbance. They looked over as the girl stood in front of the desk, awkwardly waving.
"Um hi. Jordan, right ? Jordan Li ? First of all, you're awesome. I mean, wow, ranked #2." She rambled, but Jordan held up a hand, cutting her off. "Yeah, if you want Professor Brink's autograph, you gotta buy his book.", They snipped, clearly not wanting to talk to her.
I chuckled as the new girl slightly recoiled, clearly not expecting Jordan's blunt response. "Forgive them, they're like this with everyone. Were you looking for Brink's autograph ?", I said, trying to be somewhat nicer than Jordan. She shook her head, continuing, "Oh, no, that's not why I'm here. Uh, there's clearly been a mistake." I raised an eyebrow, curious to hear both her reasoning and Jordan's response. 'Oh boy, this won't end well.'
She explained, "Uh, I signed up for Brink's Freshman Intro to crime-fighting, but it's not on my schedule." Jordan asked, "What's your name ?", looking at their computer while sounding completely disinterested, at least from my perspective. The new girl replied, "Moreau, Marie. Marie Moreau." Jordan typed something, presumably the girl- Marie's name, and popped their head up after a few seconds, "Oh yeah, I see the problem. You were rejected."
I tried to keep myself from laughing, both at Jordan's blunt delivery and Marie's reaction. Admittedly, I was now curious as to why exactly she had been rejected. Marie, on her part, looked even more confused than before, "W-what ? What do you mean ? I like, quadruple checked the forms." Jordan quipped, "Yeah, well, we just don't have space for everyone." Each word spoken was doused with cynicism, which only made it funnier. I was walking the tightrope between laughing and feeling sorry for Marie, but I kept my mouth shut, at least for the moment.
"No, but I have to take Intro. Everyone who majors in crime-fighting takes Intro." Jordan, clearly getting fed up and trying - poorly - not to snap, remarked, "Look, most freshman show up, they think they'll major in crime-fighting, crush their combat and forensics classes, and score a city contract, but they won't. You're competing with kids who've cleared homicide cases, who have over a million followers, but you ... you don't even have an Insta."
I was now very surprised, although personally I thought the whole idea of getting ahead by essentially being the most popular was utter bullshit, but even I've got to play the game just a little bit. 'She's got a long way to climb if she wants to go anywhere.' I thought to myself.
Jordan, for their part, tried to end the conversation somewhat gracefully. "Now, I kinda gotta get back to this- " but Marie cut them off, "Can I talk to Professor Brink about this ?" Jordan quickly replied, "No, I made the call. I'm his TA." Marie was starting to sound more and more like a Karen, which I was finding more and more annoying. She continued, "Hold on, this was YOUR decision ? Who are you to reject me ?"
I growled softly, ready to step in, but Jordan snapped back. "His TA.", They answered, sporting the slyest of smirks on their face, which told me that they had it covered. Suddenly, the tense atmosphere was shattered when Brink burst out of his office, holding his pistol while yelling, "Jordan !"
As Brink cocked the pistol, Marie was able to utter "What the fuck ?" just before Brink fired. In milliseconds, Jordan shifted into male form, their body stopping the bullet dead. They smirked at Brink as they brandished the ruined bullet, dropping it on their desk.
Brink chuckled at being bested again, while I sighed and rolled my eyes. 'Yet another shirt I have to fix.' Brink sat the pistol on the shelf next to his office door, "God dammit, that's the fastest quick-draw I've ever seen." Before Jordan could say anything, I decided to chime in, "You're gonna have to start payin' me to fix your clothes, Mon Ami."
Brink scratched his neck while chuckling, "Sorry, Bella. It's too fun. Jordan, what've we got ?" They started listing things off as Brink polished his silver pistol. "Uh, Ashley Barrett asked you to speak at the Vought retreat in Sun Valley." Brink scoffed, "Hard pass." Jordan continued reading, "Good Morning America wants to interview you about how Brink's technique with super kids can help with your kid." Brink scoffed, "Tell 'em to read my book." Marie apparently decided that now was the time to reinsert herself into the conversation. "I've read your book. I've read all of your books, sir.", She proudly stated.
Jordan tried to shut the conversation down, stating, "I've already handled this, sir.", but Marie quickly interjected, "Sir, she .. I mean he ...", and I answered, "They." Marie nodded, continuing, "They rejected me from your intro class. But they're dead wrong."
Brink tilted his head slightly as Marie kept going. "They're dead wrong. They don't know me." Brink raised an eyebrow, "That so ?" with what sounded like a faux interested tone to me while looking at Jordan.
They shrugged as Marie somehow kept talking. "It's like you always say, 'It's not about the talent, it's about the drive.', right ?" As Marie kept talking, she inched closer to Brink, so I discreetly brought out a few cards just in case I had to act.
She was pretty much right in Brink's face now, but he just nodded calmly, which didn't exactly put me at ease. Marie continued regardless, "And that's me. I could go all the way, I just ... I just need the chance."
Brink smiled, placing a hand on her shoulder and pausing for a few seconds. "Performing Arts is a fine program. You could be on Dancing With The Stars."He said, effectively dismissing her as he turned around and walked back into his office, firmly closing the doors.
From my spot on the corner of Jordan's desk, I watched Marie as she simply stood in front of the office doors, her jaw agape. I did feel a little bad for her, but on the other hand, I knew the game because I'd had to play it myself. As Marie turned to leave, I gave her an apologetic smile. "Sorry, Mon Ami. This is how the game is played. You just need a good hand."
I showed her the cards I'd been holding, revealing a royal flush. She chuckled and nodded, walking away with a slight pep in her step. Once she was out of sight, I uttered, "That poor girl's in way over her head." and Jordan simply responded, "Yep."
TW: Self-harm mentioned (pertaining to marie's powers), small injuries (paper cuts, splinters) mentioned, mom issues (emma), sex mentioned but not graphic, LOTS of kissing, therapy attended, arguments mentioned
AU: God U is super normal and everyone gets to live normal sweet safe lives
marie x f!reader
• if you ever got a cut or splinter, marie would gently kiss the wound
• initially, she would be far too disturbed and insecure about her powers, vowing to only use her powers on herself
• later on, as you two grew and she started to understand both herself and powers, she would heal your small knicks and injuries
• she would defo make eye contact while she did so (omfg can you imagine)
• you two would definitely get matching tattoos, probably something cute like a sun and moon
• for halloween, you would be the 'victim' and she would be a vampire
• due to her isolated childhood, you could introduce her to some real classic horror movies like the nightmare before christmas
• i think she would find a lot of comfort in frankenstein, often relating to the creature
• there would definitely be a talk between you two about how the expression of her power is kind of really self-harm
• marie would get defensive, and truthfully incredibly confused
• she never realized how much weight and blame she placed on herself regarding her parents and sister
• you'd help her get therapy
• you would both take turns being clingy, but i would say marie is a bit clingier in general, like she memorized your schedule kind of thing, and has your favorite treat stocked up in her dorm w/ emma
• you both share your locations
• if arguments ever do occur, she's at your dorm the very next day
• she is not afraid of confrontation and loves you too much to just..sit there and wait
• you'd probably pull her into your dorm and push her against the door, kissing her
• depending on why/what the argument was about you might take turns apologizing
• i think her pillow talk would be really soft and endearing, smth along the lines of
• "you're so good,"
• "i missed you so much, i missed feeling you like this,"
• "you're so pretty when you do that,"
• "actually you're pretty all the time,"
• you'd laugh and pepper her with even more kisses
• you two definitely cuddle after
jordan x f!reader
• jordan adores you
• the banter is absolutely exquisite, and theyre really sarcastic with you but always in a soft smiley way
• "yeah, that professor's really great."
• "wow I had no idea."
• "who would've guessed?"
• their dirty talk is ridiculous/unhinged
• "you're gonna make me __"
• "i'd sell my soul to do this even one more time, to just look at you"
• "i need you so bad, like now, like right now, inside and out-"
• "i would give up every single spot in god u just to feel you again-"
• and you'd have to shut them up with your palm to their mouth, because you're in literal public
• you'd blush, and they would only want to do it more
• you'd definitely be in the top 3, often beating Jordan and reaching #2, knocking them down a spot
• there would definitely be unserious hate sex after that
• they'd be incredibly proud of you - but they're coming for #1 at a rate you do not wanna know
• jordan loves smoking with you
• they would tell you stories from their childhood, whether it be rebellious memories or silly ones
• like how they released the class pet, or how they went to a homecoming dance in a dress
• you'd beg to see photos
• jordan would reluctantly show you, profusely blushing
• you'd kiss them on the cheek, and they would return your affection ten fold
• jordan loves burying their face into your neck and just laying on you, full body weight
• it's a bit crushing..but it's comforting
• you'd take really cute couples' photos, one where you're both wearing one giant t-shirt
• your halloween costume would probably be jesse and jane, or deer and headlights
• definitely matching jewelry, rings, or necklaces, or earrings (omg)
• i see matching dorm decor too, like stuffed animals you two won at an arcade
• when you two argued, jordan would probably be really quiet
• they often blame it all on themselves or on you, in a bit of a radical sense
• you would have to confront them, and ask them to have a serious convo
• later on, arguments are far less intense and more like small blips
• you would definitely do jordan's makeup, and they would look so pretty♡

first kiss
In the comfortable silence that falls after a rare moment of vulnerability or simply a joke so terribly unfunny that it made you laugh anyway, Jordan's eyes would land on your lips, and the same question that they've had to push down many times before would pop into their head again—Are those lips as soft as they seem?
What would be different about this time, however, is that they'd finally stop denying themselves the chance to find out.
With bated breath, Jordan would lean in slowly. Just slow enough to still maintain plausible deniability if it turns out that they totally misread the tension in the air. But when you let your eyelids fall instead of pulling away, they'd happily close the rest of the distance between you.
The kiss would be delicate because you'd both be slightly unsure at first. It'd be a kiss that's experimental in nature, with neither of you daring to move much in fear of ruining the moment.
Once they're sure they've confirmed their hypothesis that, yes, your lips are indeed as soft as they imagined them to be, Jordan would pull back gently (albeit a little reluctantly), breaking the kiss to look you in the eyes and make sure that it was something you'd both wanted.
That's when your lips would curl into a soft smile as a faint blush crawls onto your cheeks. The sight of you would be more than enough to send Jordan crashing right back with all the urgency in the world, because how could one little kiss ever be enough to make up for all the times that they thought about kissing you but didn't?
And now that they've gotten a taste of you, Jordan is sure that they'll become an addict soon enough, if not already.
