Have we told you how excited KHLOARIS is about the talented writer/director Josafat Concepcion’s forthcoming short film “Holy Wound,” a KHLOARIS production? We’re very excited. We met Josa after KHLOARIS’s KF screened a night of films selected by Mono No Aware featuring Josa’s work (and works by the equally amazing Twiggs Gorie, who has a cameo in this film!). We were quite taken with his odd, perverse films, which were a throwback to old-school underground film in the best possible way. We helped put together a team for “Holy Wound,” shot it one weekend and the editing is finally nearing completion. Pictured here is the great Anita Moreno, in make-up for the film’s surreal climax. We had quite a day of onlookers wondering why the hell all of these witches were in Inwood Hill Park on a Sunday afternoon.
