you being uncomfortable with something personally (even if its for valid reasons) doesn't make that thing problematic. that was my whole point. it doesn't matter if someone is into something for kink reasons either, you cant blame every innocent person just because a shitty person did something shitty to you while having the same (common) kink.
personal discomfort ≠ something that's actually inherently problematic, there is a massive difference. that's what im trying to say. its not fair to act as if the two things are the same.
and, i mean, sorry you've been in the er? you've been posting about this stuff though so i saw your posts
also: you *can* block anons, feel free to do so if you want to
if you’re on mobile… I haven’t the faintest clue how because tumblr hides everything from us. However my running point is that the roots of omegaverse specifically and mpreg do have their roots in the fetishization of transgender people from people who are cisgender.
It’s definitely different from my experience when transgender people have made pregnancy fanfic because we can sometimes tolerate it! It feels personally as if it is done with a better understanding of the circumstances and the consequences of which a situation like that can be handled or affect someone who is transgender that someone who is cisgender would not (which would lead to fetishization or otherwise the sexualization on the concept...? If that makes sense, anon?)
I personally feel as if it is very incredibly disgusting as someone with several different personalities in my head (I have DID.;) One of which is myself, the secondary fronter (Hi, my name is Joseph if you can’t tell by the Joseph.txt on the post :] ) being a transgender man who was not around or formed during the host’s trauma, which she would better understand, for someone who is a cisgender individual to be fetishizing the idea of people like myself getting pregnant. (I as the secondary fronter at this time, am I transgender male myself and while I do make jokes about things, I do personally feel like calling out the inherent sexism and transphobia that comes alongside the idea of cisgender individuals who obsess over gay men having children 24/7 where that is the only thing that they think about.)
We don’t have anything against transgender people. We have plenty of things against cisgender individuals who blatantly use gay characters or ships specifically to fantasize about getting men pregnant and leaning into forcing heteronormativity upon queer people. (And because of how common this kink is, literally no one ever tags it properly, which means it’s quite hard in our experience to use the tag filters without needing to just flat out block people because we just don’t want to interact with people who post untagged pregnancy kink Fanfiction for fear of being labeled “crazy” for having such an “odd” trigger.)
The very reason it’s there is because we ARE a system. We struggle with differentiation of people being like that one person who hurt us, which is why everyone who has that kink, gets put in the box with them, until we know they are safe. (Being diagnosed with anxiety disorders doesn’t help with this either.) It is genuinely just how one of our alters thinks, and since he’s the eldest besides the host, his black and white thinking is incredibly hard to process through, despite the fact that we are trying to fix this problem.
So until we can work through this, and until people start to properly tag their kink works on top of everything else like the problem we see with it being used by cisgender people to sexualize and objectify transgender men like myself in headspace, then we are going to struggle not to see things in the tones that Danté paints the world in, as when I first split, he is and has been the only reason why our host is still alive in the body and not dead, and his black and white way of viewing the world as
“everything that is nice to us is good, and gets put in this box over here with our pet toads”
“and literally everything else that if I DO NOT understand it, or if I DO NOT KNOW if I can trust this person, or I don’t like what they are posting because it feels like it is attacking our host, or it could cause my daughter (Maea, the host) to have a stress related panic attack. So I am putting it in a box with the things that are iffy until I deem it or this person to be safe.”
If the person is deemed to be safe he’ll allow us to interact further, which is why you can see it becoming a problem, because if we weren’t a system, this would genuinely just be a background process and not something we need to go bully the Russian man over.
I’m trying to explain this in a simple and understandable way as possibly but it unfortunately has been a while since we’ve had to explain this, and I kinda missed orientation.
Having multiple different people with different perspectives on life banging around in your head is really confusing. I don’t blame Danté for the way he thinks, no. He formed and thinks the way he does simply because he found that is how he is supposed to do his job well. He’s the mind’s protector. His goal is to kind of stop us from splitting as much as possible and to shield us in the event of a conflict and he’s incredibly rigid about how he wants to have those situations handled.
I JUST RECENTLY (like six… or seven months ago) softened him up to the idea of wanting to date our host’s significant others, mind you.because I find them hot and he was still on the fence about them. He (Maea) had been dating them for over a year and six months at that point in time. That is how slow he (Danté) is to trust. We had known our s/os for over two years beforehand as well in the case of @tittybender (please correct me if I am wrong, darling?) and a year (again this was way before I formed, I’m just guessing based on when Our discord account joined the server we all shared together) with @healingcorvid :)
Unless cisgender people start properly tagging their kink fics, then the disclaimer about not wanting to interact with people who sexuallize transgender men for their bodies being able to carry life, and ONLY that, is going to have to stay up. It’s not always someone who is cisgender, anon, but it always happens to BE someone who is cisgender. That was especially the case with our groomer apparently being a cisgender 21 year old man while we were 16 (I think? Might need to bully one of the others into yapping for certain since I formed around… June or March of 2025. One of us has been in here since the host was Three but he’s nonverbal and can really only vibrate with rage while at front since he he doesn’t speak English and the body ONLY speaks English. (Funny, I know, system things are genuinely incredibly inconvenient at times lol.)
I will state that we do believe that both things are opinions that can exist independently of one another, and that when stressed we do tend to come off as incredibly harsh individuals. This is an inherently nuanced topic in my (Joseph’s) opinion.
We got out of the ER on Sunday, we’ve just been feeling strong enough to return online today because we had an extremely painful abscess in our jaw and had a tooth extracted on Monday (yesterday, January 19th.) so bodily we are a bit drained… and also tweaking balls because were high on pain killers. (I am entirely surprised as you are that I’m able to type this well, might be me being British internally, I don’t know.)
I’m no paragon saint in the headspace either. I’m a raccoon the host happens to like enough because I’m a yapper and if I’m cofronting with Danté we kind of form one functional human being. The reason I sound less aggressive here is because I have myself time to cool off because I (Joseph) would have made a jackass out of myself if I didn’t make that original post to get my initial thoughts out, take a break, and then look at it from multiple perspectives. I can state that perhaps the language is a bit harsh, but I can go back and fix that to try and better mirror our own perspective.
(Especially because the body’s mother does happen to have a problem with being incredibly hot headed. Might have been her getting mad at us, or because we were peeved. No, we don’t hate everyone simply because they want to explore the idea of pregnancy or have it as a kink. We don’t think you should die. If you like mpreg, whatever, go off. Don’t talk to us about it and make sure everything is properly tagged in your posts because we’re sick of coming across a fic and going “oh this looks interesting” and it’s just four thousand words of pregnancy and breeding kink with no warnings/tags on it with said content (which is extremely common for whatever reason in the httyd fandom and the asoif fandom). We just do not like fetish blogs or blogs where that is literally the only thing that they post about.)
