Remember how Taylor didn’t date before 1989 was released because she wanted to show everyone that she didn’t need a relationship to be creative and successful? And now she’s stayed silent and is probably going to stay silent until tour dates are released and she physically HAS to come out of hiding because she’s tired of constantly having to protect her reputation in interviews. Look what you made her do. She can’t even show her excitement for this album because people took that away from her and she has to make this a point. I miss the excitement of her album releases and her TALKING to us about each song and how she was feeling when they were written. She had to go into hiding because people relentlessly harassed her. Yes she isn’t perfect but she never claimed to be. It’s every one out there that has such high standards that never give her a chance to learn from her mistakes. She used to tweet about her actual life and funny things that happened to her. She used to be open about herself and people took that away from not only her, but her fans too. Taylor can’t be the person that she used to be because people who don’t know her, who aren’t even fans or have the slightest clue as to who she truly is- they took the one thing that fans and Taylor shared. Every emotion in every song of hers resonates with her fans. To say that she is too personable, or too optimistic about love, or that all she does is use boys to make a career- not only attacks her but her fans as well. EVERY person has had their heart broken, or has broken a heart, has been backstabbed by someone they thought was their friend, has to deal with someone that keeps coming back into their lives only to destroy them. EVERY single person in this world has believed in love until it broke them, or was close to finding “the one” until suddenly it broke apart. EVERY body has a special place in their heart for one person no matter how things ended, and everybody has their own battles in their lives. Why slander a woman who is shedding light on these things? Why attack someone that has the guts to be honest about her life without ever specifically saying who/what a song is about? Why attack a SONGWRITER for WRITING about her life when EVERY songwriter does the same exact thing? To say that she uses boys for her career is a pathetic reason to undercut her success. SHE has written every single song lyric she sings. SHE has been part of the creative process it takes to make music videos. SHE has control over her music evolutions. SHE comes up with melodies and beats. SHE can sing and play instruments. SHE created a generation of young people to be honest with themselves and enjoy life and learn lessons along the way. Not her exes. If you don’t like Taylor Swift, for whatever reason, that’s fine. Nobody is forcing you to listen to her music or be a fan of her personality.
Just know this- Taylor KNOWS you don’t like her. Her fans know you don’t like her. Media outlets know you don’t like her. Stop taking every oppurtunity to kick someone when they’re down and go support the artists that you like. She’s probably excited about this album. Her fans are excited for this album. That’s all that matters. Her fans. The people that actually like and enjoy her music. She isn’t asking for approval from her critics, she’s putting out music that she KNOWS her fans will love and that’s all that matters.
