"Bus Stop" 16" x 20" beads and acrylic on canvas by Joseph Uzzo
This was a commissioned piece for a buddy of mine. I was tasked with reimagining the infamous Bus Stop scene from South Park as if it were an NES game. I thought it'd be cool to play with depth a bit, so I used 3 separate layers.
Layer 1: Mountains and Sky (paint)
Layer 2: Snow and Trees (beads)
Layer 3: The Boys and Street Sign (beads)
I think going forward I'll be experimenting with depth a bit. It's difficult to tell from the photos, but this one pops a bit more than anything I've done before. I'm a huge South Park fan and this was a complete blast to make. Ms. Crabtree should be pulling up any second now! Stay tuned for more!
