Welcome Back Josh Fraser
It's always comforting to see former players return. If only because it says plenty about how the player departed.
In Josh Fraser's situation, it confirms that he was A okay with the conditions set upon him in his final playing year; that is, he became more of a mentor and was told he would only play senior level if every other ruckman was unavailable. Surely this would be difficult to hear, but clearly Josh had the bigger picture in mind. To see him return shows that he was indeed happy with this arrangement.
From the club's perspective, it confirms that they were happy with Josh as a person, player and mentor. To be offered a coaching position shows that they were pleased with the way he conducted himself in his final year of playing and are confident in his abilities to coach a developing team.
It speaks volumes about the culture of the club and the people in it. Good luck to Josh in 2014 and welcome back.

It's safe to say that I was really shocked by Josh's attitude towards me during my time with him at the Pies. It was very acrimonious. Unfortunately, he chose to ignore me instead of embracing the situation and barely spoke to me for that entire season. I'm sure if he'd had a better attitude, we could have had a good ruck combination and he would have continued at the Pies for a bit longer.
