Sofia & Josh // Josh Is Back

Summary: Josh comes back for Sofia's birthday, and she realizes how much she loves him.

3/30/2014 7:30:58 PM] megan.anderson87: As soon as Josh graduated from Hogwarts he decided he would take the year to travel the world. He went to Brazil, Costa Rica, California, New York, Mali, Morocco, Austrailia, China, India, Egypt, and all throughout Europe. He was finally done with the last leg of his travels and he was happy to see that it coincided with the graduation party of one Sofia Crumkoft.

Sofia and Josh had written to one another throughot the year but they had not seen one another properly in over a year. He had missed her and to be honest he had always wanted her to notice him as something more. He was talking to Liam about his radio show and debating about the latest things in politics when he finally spotted Sofia. "Excuse me. I have to say hello to the graduate." Liam smiled at him nodding his head and then walked away from him. He walked up to Sofia giving her a soft smile. "Congratulations Sofie." [3/30/2014 7:36:42 PM] Meyghaenn: It had taken the combined efforts of Aoife, Lyli, Riley, Flor, and the occasional input from Alexia and Nadia to get Sofia ready for her party. She hadn't been able to decide what to wear, or how to do her hair, or what jewelry to put on. One could have attributed it to graduation nerves, but it was more than that. It was the fact that she knew this was the first time she would see Josh in over a year, and she wanted to be able to look more mature, and more beautiful than she ever had.

She'd dated for the first couple of months her seventh year, though it always seemed like there was something missing. It had taken her several weeks and one particularly long pause between letters for her to realize that what was missing in her life was Josh. And as soon as she realized that, Sofia's mind went at a mile a minute and told her that she wouldn't be able to live without him. Not if this emptiness was how it felt to be gone from him. So Sofia had crafted a plan to seduce him-- or... to try.

She came down the stairs at least forty five minutes late, and when she did, she made sure to pause and hug her dad first. Then she saw Josh walking up to her, and she couldn't help but run the last little bit of the way to wrap her arms around him. "I'm so, so glad that you could make it," she smiled brightly, and then tried to tone down her excitement a bit with a fake cough. "How have you been?" [3/30/2014 7:42:58 PM] megan.anderson87: Josh was rather surprised when he felt her arms wrap around him in a hug. He put his arms around her as well loving the feel of her. "Of course. I was excited to see that I would be able to make it. Congratulations." He pulled back from the hug so that he could smile at her. He had no idea how to describe how he was but he was going to try. "I'm doing alright. I'm trying my best to get use to England again and trying to figure out what to do with my life I suppose. Thinking of opening up myown business either in Hogsmead or Diagon Alley." He realized he may be talking far too much about himself especially since it was Sofia's night. "How about you?" [3/30/2014 7:46:56 PM] Meyghaenn: "England's not so bad, is it?" she asked, shrugging lightly, putting more of a double meaning on it than he was sure to be able to understand. "Ooh, what kind of business?" she asked, her eyes lighting up with excitement. When he asked about her, she waved a hand in dismissal, trying to look grown up. "Oh, I've been fine. Just working hard to keep up my marks. And now, working on finding a job." She hadn't started that yet, but she could pretend that she had, at least. Right when she finished that, Ian walked up to her, wrapping her up from behind in his arms and spinning her around. She giggled, and then realized she sounded like a child, and elbowed him in the gut. "Put me down!" she said roughly, and when he released her with a chuckle, he held out his hand to Josh. "You're Josh, I assume? Ian." Sofia looked up at him and whined. "Ian... go away..." [3/30/2014 7:57:21 PM] megan.anderson87: "No... England isn't bad at all." He looked over at Sofia when she seemed genuinely interested in what kind of shop he was thinking about opening. "Posssibly a book store. I know small businesses are rather hard to come by but the job I want I feel like will be forever occupied by a ghost." He nodded his head as he became quite proud of Sofia. "That's great. Your father told me that you did pretty well for yourself the last year. So no doubts you'll be amazing." Josh looked at Sofia amused when her brother came to say hello to her. He was surprised that Ian knew his name though. "Yes Josh. Nice to meet you." [3/30/2014 8:00:36 PM] Meyghaenn: "A book store sounds really fun," she said, smiling. "Forever occupied by a ghost?" Sofia was a little confused as to what he meant by that, but then she smiled to herself as Josh told her her Dad had bragged. "Well, not as good as I hoped, but.. better than I feared." She was just about to ask him to go somewhere when Ian appeared and started to talk to him.

"Yeah," Ian said, in response to the pleasure to meet him part, not returning it just yet. "So what do you do, Josh? How'd you have so much money to travel?" Then he looked over at his sister, who was giving him wide eyes. "Yeah, Sofia likes to talk. A lot. I'm sure you've noticed this before." [3/30/2014 8:06:53 PM] megan.anderson87: Josh nodded his head with a bit of a smirk when she asked about the ghost comment. "Yeah Binns. He never seems to quit. So I figure a bookstore would be a brilliant back up plan." He gave her a grin shaking her head at her. "You should feel proud. It's your day after all."

Josh looked at Ian with his eyebrows raised. "I, uh, well I took a year off so right now I am in between things. I was given some money by my grandparents who saved up for me because they wanted me to see the world. I've been writing as well not sure if I'll do anything with it though." He probably explained more than he should but he felt like he was getting questioned for a reason...he just wasn't sure why." Josh chuckled a little at Ian's comment about her talking. "I don't mind that though."

Casey walked over and joined his siblings. He leaned over to kiss Sofia on the cheek. "Congratulations baby sister." He stood up and looked at Ian asking him with his eyes who this guy was. [3/30/2014 8:13:49 PM] Meyghaenn: "Well maybe you could talk the Headmaster into letting someone a little more.... /not/ boring take the job." Sofia shook her head. History of Magic had been her absolute worst class, because she just couldn't concentrate. The second part of what he said made her blush, and she dipped her head down.

Ian shoved his hands in his pockets, listening to the boy with pursed lips. "Traveling. Good thing to do with your time, before you settle down with someone." He nodded along as he talked about writing. "Oh? Our sister's a very talented author. It can be a good way to provide for yourself if you're good at it. Are you any good at it?" Sofia blanched, poking Ian in the stomach.

"He wants to open a book store," Sofia told him, and Ian gave out a chuckle. "Where at?" he asked him, a bit amused by all of this.

Just as Sofia was blushing again by Josh's comment about not minding, Casey came over and kissed her hot cheek. Ian looked at his brother with a smirk, and then gestured to Josh. "Hey, Casey. This, is Josh." Anyone who had been at the Crumkoft house at all for the past two days had heard about Josh, and how he was arriving. And anyone with half a brain would be able to tell that Sofia was more than just excited to see a friend. [3/30/2014 8:19:32 PM] megan.anderson87: Josh was rather confused by Ian's wording when it came to his comments about traveling. "I suppose... it is a good thing." He was starting to get a bit uncomfortable when Ian was asking if he was a good writer. "I write well but I don't plan to make a living from that if that's what you mean?" Before Josh could answer Ian about his bookstore Sofia's other brother Casey was there.

Casey opened his eyes wide once he realized that it was Josh. "Right Josh. I'm Casey. What were you talking about before I interrupted?" Josh looked rather confused but pressed on. "Ian was asking about the store I wanted to open. I want to open a book store in either Hogsmead or Diagon Alley or somewhere else I'm not really tied to one area."

Casey looked concerned now as Josh spoke. "You do know that most small businesses fail after the first year? That you actually lose money off it before you start." [3/30/2014 8:26:17 PM | Edited 8:27:45 PM] Meyghaenn: Sofia was standing between her two brothers completely scandalized. She knew what they were doing, and she knew that they needed to stop. Ian was looking over at his brother nodding his head as he talked about failed businesses. "Does your grandparents' fund pay for failed business prospects?" Ian asked, and then Sofia literally died.

"Riley!" She called out, pulling the girl away as she walked towards the living room. Riley walked up with a bit of a skeptical look on her face. "Yes...? Oh, and congratulations." Sofia shook her head, grabbing hold of Josh's hand, and pulling him slightly away as she spoke. "I was just wondering if you could tell Casey and Ian what you were telling me earlier about Mandrakes."

"Oh! Yeah, I can do that." She stepped in front of the guys, and went into an animated story about how this guy she knew literally had his ears bleed so much that he died because his neighbor kept pulling up mandrakes without telling the man he was going to do it so he would be prepared.

As Sofia pulled Josh away, she looked up at him as she bit her lip. "I'm so sorry about them. Casey's ridiculous and Ian just feeds off of people's fear. They're loony." [3/30/2014 8:32:14 PM] megan.anderson87: Josh was definitely aware that small businesses didn't have the greatest success rate but he was surprised that Casey said it outloud. He was about to make a few points when Ian asked if his grandparents would fund failed businesses. He was speechless. Luckily Sofia seemed to have figured out a way to distract her brothers so that they could spend some time alone.

They walked away from the area and once they were free from their company Sofia turned to him to apologize. "Oh its fine. Honest." He was about to ask her something about her plans when they were interrupted again this time by Cian.

Cian walked up and gave Sofia a big bear hug. "Congratulations. I love you little sister." Once he pulled away from the hug he noticed the guy who was in front of her. "This is Josh right? Cute guy who helped you study?" [3/30/2014 8:36:19 PM] Meyghaenn: Sofia was relieved to see Cian. He wouldn't act crazy. She hugged him tightly back, letting go of Josh's hand. She was just about to ask him about Lyli, who she knew would boost Josh's 'liking Sofia's family' factor, when he said something that made her face go bright red. "Cian!" she hollered at him, shaking her head to let him know that it wasn't okay to say things like that. [3/30/2014 8:43:54 PM] megan.anderson87: Cian held is hands up innocently. "I'm sorry. I was just kidding." He turned to Josh who was incredibly nervous and confused as to what was going on. "I'm Cian. I'm Sofia's oldest ans scariest brother." He looked over his shoulder sand saw Lyli walking over toward him once she was there he put his arm around her. "This is my wife Lyli."

Josh put out his hand and shook Cian's enthusiastically. He also shook Lyli's hand and gave her a smile. "I'm Josh an old friend of Sofia's." [3/30/2014 8:48:55 PM] Meyghaenn: Sofia shook her head, rolling her eyes at her oldest brother. "Cian's really nice. Don't tell anyone else, but he's my favorite." When Lyli walked over, she was caught by Cian, who she leaned into with a kiss on the cheek. She shook Josh's hand, and then beamed as he introduced himself.

"So you're the guy that Sofia won't shut up about!"

Sofia gasped, giving Lyli the dirtiest of looks. Lyli looked taken aback and looked up at Cian. "Did I say something wrong? I'm sorry, I'm not good at these kinds of things..." [3/30/2014 8:51:03 PM] megan.anderson87: Josh smiled at Cian nodding his head once Sofia told him that he was her favorite brother. "You seem rather nice." Cian smiled noddig his head at Josh. "I try." [3/30/2014 8:53:23 PM] megan.anderson87: Cian began to laugh hysterically at what Lyli let slip. Sofia gave her such a bad look which made him laugh harder. "Sorry. Lyli and I have the same sense of humor. Sofia thinks rather highly of you and that's all we were trying to convey. I guess we better leave these two alone." He leaned over to kiss his sister on the forehead. "See you around Sofie. I'm very proud of you." With that Cian and Lyli walked off toward the kitchen.

Josh was relieved it was just the two of them again. "I forgot how big your family was." [3/30/2014 8:55:50 PM] Meyghaenn: "Yeah, bye," Sofia said snidely, annoyed with the both of them. At least, though, they hadn't been as bad as Ian and Casey. Sofia looked over her shoulder to see that they were still preoccupied by Riley, and then she laughed at what Josh said. "Yeah... I'm sorry about that. They're all a little... immature, sometimes." She rolled her eyes, totally disgusted. Then, realizing that they were alone, she turned to him and licked her lips. "So, I've been meaning to talk to you about something, but I wanted to do it in person..." [3/30/2014 9:03:01 PM] megan.anderson87: Josh shook his head when she was apologizing. "Honestly you don't need to apologize. I'm fine." He was incredibly interested in what Sofia had to say. His mind was working over time; however, he was interrupted when some guy came up to Sofia picking her up over his shoulder.

Kyle decided to ambush Sofia. "Lex! I found her." He put Sofia back on the ground and gave her a big hug. "Congratulations Sofia." He then looked up and saw Josh. "You're Josh aren't you? I'm Kyle. I'm Alexia's, Sofia's sister, boyfriend. Im also an extra big brother of sorts." He looked at Sofia pointing his finger at her before saying loudly. "You need to to lock this down Sofia. I want to marry your sister but I can't until you get married." [3/30/2014 9:06:31 PM] Meyghaenn: Sofia was just about to ask Josh something serious when someone picked her up and made her scream. "Kyle Gillespie I am in a dress!" she told him angrily, trying to hold it down with red faced embarrassment. Then he sat her down, and she gave Josh another apologetic look. "He was Cian's best friend... I've known him for as long as I can remember," she tried to explain. Then he gave her advice, and Sofia pushed his finger away from her with a gasp of disbelief. "I swear! Can you not for one second actually be humane?!"

Alexia walked up then, shaking her head. "No. It's Kyle. Humane isn't in his dictionary." She looked over at Josh, smiling. "Hey, Josh. I assume you're Josh, anyway. You're the only guy that Sofia cares enough about at this party to actually talk to."

Sofia blanched, stomping her foot, not even caring if she looked like a child. "Go away now! I was talking to him." [3/30/2014 9:12:59 PM] megan.anderson87: Kyle looked scandalized at Sofia when she said that he "was" Cian's best mate. "Was? WAS? I am his best mate. Honestly." He could not help but laugh at the word choice Sofia used. He smiled at Alexia as she walked up to them. "I was just excited." He put his arm around her waist bringing her close. "I feel like she doesn't want us here. See and you think I don't listen." Kyle led Alexia away from the rather fustered and upset Sofia.

Josh just stood there awkwardly the whole time. Kyle introduced himself but then quickly forgot about him it seemed. He shook his head laughing about what happened a bit. He then took Sofia's hand in his before pulling her out of the house. "Maybe we should take a walk so you can say wht you want to say." [3/30/2014 9:15:33 PM] Meyghaenn: "Kyle, you're an idiot," she told him, shaking her head. Alexia agreed, and then let Kyle pull her away with a bit of a laugh. Finally, they seemed to be alone, but Josh seemed to have the brains to realize they wouldn't be for long. Sofia checked to see if the coast was clear, and then pulled him over to the gate on the fence, where she slipped out silently. Then, she was very, very aware of his hand in hers. She thought aobut dropping it, but she really didn't want to. Sofia walked a little ways away from their house before she spoke, just to be on the safe side. "I, uh... Really apologize, for my annoying family." [3/30/2014 9:22:02 PM] megan.anderson87: Josh continued to walk with Sofia until she was ready to talk to him. Finally Sofia spoke and he looked over at her trying his best to give her all of his attention. "It's okay. I don't mind it at all I just .... well I'm curious to know if what you have to say." He stopped walking so he could look at her fully. "So what is it?" [3/30/2014 9:40:51 PM] Meyghaenn: When Josh stopped walking, Sofia turned to him, biting down on her lip. She blushed, looking up at him with a shy smile. "I just... wanted to tell you that I missed you." She met his eyes, giving him a bit of a brighter smile. "I missed you a lot, Josh." [3/30/2014 9:42:49 PM] megan.anderson87: Josh looked at Sofia momentarily confused before giving her a smile. "I missed you too Sofie." He wondered if there was more that she wanted to say besides that she missed him. "What your family was saying about you thinking I'm cute and not being able to stop talking about me... was that true?" [3/30/2014 9:49:29 PM] Meyghaenn: Sofia was trying to get up the nerve to talk more about what she really wanted to get to, but it was really ahrd for her. She looked up into his eyes still, and then he started questioning her. She blushed, licking her lip. "It was... not... /not/ true..." She sighed. "Josh, I really, /really/ missed you." [3/30/2014 9:52:03 PM] megan.anderson87: Josh looked at Sofia as she blushed and acted nervous around him. She was never nervous around him. Once she said that she really missed him he felt confident that he knew what she wanted to say. So he decided the best response would be a nonverbal one. He put his hand on her cheek and leaned in for a soft lingering kiss. [3/30/2014 9:55:07 PM] Meyghaenn: She didn't have the nerve to say it, no matter how much she tried. It was on the tip of her tongue, but she kept second guessing her wording, and each time she tried to talk it just sounded all jumbled in her head. Luckily, Josh seemed to have caught on. He leaned in, putting a hand to her cheek. Sofia sucked in a deep breath of shock, and then his lips were on hers. They were so soft, and perfect, and warm, and everything that Sofia had dreamed they would be. She leaned up on her tip toes to wrap her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. [3/30/2014 9:57:46 PM] megan.anderson87: Josh smiled against her lips as she responded to his kiss putting her arms around his neck to pull him closer. He put his around her waist as he deepened the kiss feeling absolutely incredible. After a few moments he pulled away from te kiss to rest his head on her forehead. "I didn't think you noticed me." [3/30/2014 9:59:28 PM] Meyghaenn: Sofia was completely out of breath when he pulled away from her, and her eyes stayed closed for a bit beofre they fluttered open. She looked up at him with firey eyes. "I didn't... until you weren't there anymore. You'd... become such a big part of my life, and I didn't even realize how important you were until I didn't have you. I don't want to feel like that again." [3/30/2014 10:04:08 PM] megan.anderson87: Josh looked Sofia in the eyes as she said that she didn't want to be without him. "I guess I just have one clarifying question. Do you want me because you actually want me...or because I do things for you. Because...I really fancy you Sofia I always have but...I don't want to be with you unless you want me for the right reasons." [3/30/2014 10:07:58 PM] Meyghaenn: Sofia looked up at him, and her eyebrows furrowed. "I.. I want... you... and everything about you... I mean... you do things for me, and that's part of you that I love, but... that's not.. the only reason..." She turned white, afraid that she was walking all over herself, trying to get to words that she didn't know how to say, because her brain wasn't putting them down for her easily. He had work with her long enough to recognize when she was getting a bit haywired. "Hey... I'm not going anywhere. There's no rush. Don't over think it. What do you want to tell me?" [3/30/2014 10:12:34 PM] Meyghaenn: When he put a hand to her cheek, Sofia took a deep breath, closing her eyes, trying to put it all together. His words calmed her down a bit, and she took a few deep breaths, before she started to talk, slowly this time. "I want, you. Everything about you. I love that you do things for me, but that's not... the reason I want you. It's just part of you who are, and that's what I want. All of you." She bit her lip, hoping that sounded a little bit better. [3/30/2014 10:15:24 PM] megan.anderson87: Josh could feel his stomach jumping in excitement. He didn't expect this when he came here tonight. He had always hoped a conversation would happened like this but he definitely didn't expect it. "I want you too. I think you have such a big heart and I love yor creative mind. I have always wanted to be with you... so if you want all of me...you have all of me...because... I want all of you too." [3/30/2014 10:16:50 PM] Meyghaenn: Sofia listened carefully to his words, and then when he finished, she jumped up a bit, giggling. Then she realized that she was supposed to act grown up, so she bit her lip and settled for a satisfied nod. "Will you... kiss me again, Josh?" [3/30/2014 10:20:11 PM] megan.anderson87: Josh smiled when Sofia started to giggle and get excited. He nodded when she requested another kiss he would be more than glad to kiss her again. He pulled her closer to him for another kiss this time deepening it as he moved her closer to him with his arms that were wrapped around her waist. He was glad to be back home because he had something to truly look forward to--being with Sofia.
