Wholesome Week: Day 6: New Friendships

Oof I'm glad to have this done; my neck is sooo sore haha. I'm late on the days' themes by a lot more than I'd usually be, but it's been busy lately. ^^; Alright, so an explanation is provided below!

Once upon a time, I made a contest entry for a next gen AU by someone else, and I chose a few crack ships to go along with more "canon" ships. One of those crack ships was Jackie Lynn Thomas from Star vs the Forces of Evil and Josh Sharp from Littlest Pet Shop. I sort of realized they were really similar: both chill, relaxed skaters with names that start with J and wearing necklaces. Also Josh looks quite a lot like Marco haha (so much so for my Tom vs the Forces of Evil AU, where Tom is Star and Jackie is Marco, I based Jackie's design on Blythe and Marco's design on Josh).

Even when they aren’t viewed as a ship, I'd still totally see them becoming friends! :D Here's the story I came up with for them back in 2017 when I made the next gen AU contest entry with them as a crack ship (I've split it into two parts (friends and lovers): Becoming Friends: Jackie and Josh met during a skateboarding meet-up in Downtown City. Jackie was completely new to the place and had gotten lost, and they ran into one another (quite literally). He'd been reading a book while she'd been trying to figure out her map, and the two noticed that they both had skateboards. It wasn't long before they figured out they were heading in the same direction, so he led her towards the skate park and they later had a race against one another. Jackie managed to beat him and Josh was impressed, and the two hung out together the whole day. They exchanged contacts at the end of the day, having had a lot of fun together. They found that they meshed well, especially since their mellow personalities were so similar to one another's.
