Seeing Henry
[Josh]
Josh sat on the floor of his room and laughed slightly before seeing his door open and seeing Henry walking in. “Oh hi Henry. This Jake from the science club. He was just telling me more about this really cool project they plan on working on this year.”
[Henry]
Henry finished book club and was heading to Josh’s for the night since it seemed they were going to spend some time together. He walked in and saw Josh with someone else. “Oh hey! I’m Henry. Nice to meet you. So what is the project they plan on working on? Is it robotics again? I know they made a really cool one last year.”
[Josh]
“No, it’s telescopes. They say we might see other stars and everything.” He smiled before Jake pointed out that they had J’s in their name. “Oh yeah, that’s funny.” He laughed.
[Henry]
“A telescope? Like a big telescope? They are building it from scratch? That seems pretty cool. Maybe I will drop by. So, how long is Jake here for because we made plans and all and you made it seem really exciting.” He says before going over and sitting down before pulling Josh into his lap. “He’s my boyfriend by the way.”
[Josh]
Josh felt Henry pulling him into his lap and was confused by the boy’s words. “He knows that baby.” He said before looking at him. “Oh I wanted to show you the collage I made, but Jake is my guest and it seems pretty rude to just kick him out when we live next to each other.”
[Henry]
“Oh cool, he is on the other side of your room. Nice. So any significant other of your own Jake?” He asks as he wraps his arms around the other and rests his head on Josh’s shoulder. “So then since he is next door does that mean he is going to join us on everything or…”
[Josh]
“I was talking about you, but yeah he lives on the other side.” He nods before Jake answers no. Josh listened to Henry and looked at him. “Are you okay? No, I just was interested in the project and he wanted to explain it to me.”
[Henry]
“I was just wondering about it. Everyone knows I don’t like to share. So what were you saying about me then?” He asks.
[Josh]
“Share…you aren’t sharing anything.” He said before looking at Jake. “Um…no I was just telling him about you. We have some classes together.”
[Henry]
“Sharing time dear. We had plans and you know how anal I can get about plans being changed.” He sighed. “It’s fine. I get it. He is cute.” He says.
[Josh]
Josh noticed Jake was starting to feel uncomfortable so he started getting up and Josh sighed. “Um well I will see you at school tomorrow.” Josh said as he walked Jake to the door. “Sorry about…that.” He said before seeing the boy leaving and closing the door behind him.
[Henry]
“Sorry about what? I haven’t done anything. If you wanted to change plans you could have let me know, you know how much that bothers me and what if the other Josh came out huh?”
[Josh]
“What is your problem? Why are you acting like this? I can’t have friends now? Every guy I meet you think I want to fuck now, is that it?” He asked. “Do not talk about him.”
[Henry]
“My problem is that, the other you, threatened to dump me at school for another boy. So while you might not want to, the other part of you is more than willing to do that and I can’t lose you to the other Josh. I just…I can’t.” He says as his eyes flashed blue.
[Josh]
“What?” He asked in confusion. “You aren’t going to lose me, but acting like an asshole when I have never once cheated on you is pushing me away. We went through this with your stupid Uncles. I don’t want anyone but you, but you definitely made me mad tonight.”
[Henry]
“You told me to come over after and I did but you never told me you had someone else coming over or was planning on it. You know I hate when that happens especially with people we don’t know.” He tells him.
“Yeah because I am the one who invited the cute single guy over. Right right. It’s all my fault now right? And you were still checking them out and you know it. Even they knew you were checking them out especially Charlie.”
[Josh]
“I didn’t know I was going to do that and we can have people over and then still be us when they leave. You are being ridiculous.”
“You are the one that said he was cute, not me. I never said that and I don’t think that. So do not put words in my mouth. And I am not having this fight about your stupid Uncles again. Just leave Henry.”
[Henry]
“Yeah but if we planned time together for us then it would be nice to know if that changes. You know it makes me uncomfortable and starts to make me act like an asshole.” He told him.
“So what now we aren’t doing anything at all? Your new friend really means that much to you that you would pick him over me and us when we have plans? You know what, whatever.” He says before leaving and slamming the door behind him. He didn’t bother going to his room and instead just went to the quad.
[Josh]
“Oh no, do not blame me when you start to act like an asshole. You suddenly act like I am going to ride the next person I see and you know that isn’t fucking true.” He snapped before rolling his eyes.
“Who picked him over you? No one. I just don’t want to spend the night with you when you act like this. It pisses me off.” He says before watching the boy leave and slam the door.
Josh just sighed in frustration before locking the door and getting ready for bed.
