It’s Toy Time Tuesday! With...Fashion Star Fillies Pink Josselyn! She was their “Deluxe Horse” from the line. She came with a special ‘styling stand’ where her feet fit in so she wouldn’t tip over while you styled her hair with the “Star Styler”. The Star Styler was basically a yellow star shaped plastic toy with a turn-crank & 2 clips. You’d clip in 2 sections of hair and turn the crank to twirl them together to make a twist. (It did NOT braid, which involves 3 strands or more) If done correctly (twisting the hair of each section in the opposite direction the toy spun) the twists could be tied with the clip & not come undone. (But, of course, no kid would know to do this, so the hair would always unwind right away & you could twist the hair by hand faster than setting up the toy anyway so it was rather pointless.) She’s shown modeling an accessory pack official butterfly necklace in one of the photos. Naturally, being deluxe, she cost more than all the others, but even with her gimmicky add-ons she’s quite worth while for all that luxury hair. This particular one was my single FSF flea-market find. Astonishingly lucky to get her the first week she appeared, or all her hair would have faded. She is in shockingly good shape with her paint as well, no scuffs or scratches which is near miraculous. This was a true exciting find as I already had the purple one. Why ‘pink’? Because there are 2 quite distinct versions of her. This pink one with light body, and another in the same pose with a darker purple body and clearly purple hair. Her hair is that annoying “Fading Pink” that is UV sensitive and may also simply fade over time for no reason. (Purple version will appear next week) She is quite beautiful & fantasy with floor-length hair that is so thick, so quality & wonderful. The tinsel is textured & iridescent. While she isn’t wild, it’s a soft kind of enchanting fantasy.
