Im slid onto the bar stool, nearly missing it as she focused on the folded stack of papers in her hand. A clipped newspaper article drifted to the floor. "Whiskey, please," she muttered to the person standing on the other side of the bar, presumably the bartender, but she'd been wrong before. Not lifting her head, she spread out the pieces of paper, brows furrowed as she stared at the various names and dates, some circled in red, some triple underlined. The bar was crowded enough for her not to draw any attention, but not so much as to be distracting as she sifted between papers.
"Well, shit," she muttered under her breath.

He knew he wouldn't be able to give up hunting completely (which was Sam's dying wish), so he opted to hunt through books. But it only made him miss his younger brother more. Because Sam was the kind of guy Dean would discuss the events of a novel with. He knew it'd make him proud, if he found out Dean was reading.
