DEB season 3 rewatch episode 1 - favorite social media
Okay I’m super late for this one, but I still wanted to do it even though we’ve moved on to episode 2 already. I can’t imagine there’ll be anything super in depth to talk about for the social media, but I’m actually super stoked to look into it because there’s a lot of it that I’d actually never seen before!
But in terms of this first episode, I’ve definitely seen the post that I’m naming as my favorite cause I feel like everyone loves these pictures and I’m no different.
I mean, come on. This photoset from Jonas’ insta story during the first party scene is just such a classic. Usually, the music they use during their stories seems random and kinda weird, but I LOVE that they chose an N.W.A. song for that first photo cause it feels like a little nod to the og season 3 and Isak’s music taste.
I just really love Jonas and Matteo, they are definitely my favorite Jonas and Isak, even above the og, so it’s always nice to see more of their dynamic play out beyond the clips themselves. I also love how Matteo is leaning on Jonas, totally fits with his body language and how tired and lethargic he is all the time as well as Jonas’ protective role that he seems to play with Matteo.
I can’t ignore the fact that Michelangelo and Anselm have incredible chemistry together. I feel like they both know their characters so well, and I really believe that Jonas and Matteo have been friends for a long time based on how comfortable they are with each other. There seems to be an incredible unspoken understanding between them, and I can imagine many scenarios in which Jonas notices Matteo acting off, while maybe no one else does (that even does happen a couple of times throughout the season, even despite Jonas sometimes being blinded by how well he THINKS he knows Matteo). They definitely have this mutual “no one calls you an idiot besides me” relationship, which balances really well with that seriousness that they can also have with one another. Pure love with lots of playfulness and idiocy. These pictures are just one of many examples of that deep relationship being shown to us.
(also Michelangelo looks great here and I’m not gonna pretend like that was not a factor in me choosing this post okay I’m only human don't judge me I’ll beat you to it)
