Anthem of the Heart

And so the girl said…

  “So there never really was an egg, I’m the one who cast that curse. I was the egg. Locked away inside the egg, alone. Me, myself.”

  Just then, the world burst into a song towards the girl,

  ,Two songs played simultaneously

  . I will call out your name

. My heart begins to shout

  . I will call out your gentle name

. The world I see standing next to you

  . You taught me to see

. Everything is so beautiful

  . This beautiful world

. My sad past as well as the traces of my tears

  . I will embrace this world

. I’m going to shout out

  . I will embrace the whole everything

. The feelings that were born since I met you

  . I love you

. I love everything about it

  . I love you so much

. This world that you gave me

  .

.

  and so, she could now breath…

          ……………………………………..

 She thought,

"What’s inside the egg?

  All kinds of feelings locked inside

  Then, unable to keep them locked in

Daily Journal - 2/5/15

Today was a good day. Not particularly different than the last few days besides a work meeting, but I felt happier today. I ate pretty well except I had a couple cookies at the work meeting. Shouldn't have done that. But that's my own fault for not having a filling breakfast. I was too distracted cleaning my yoga mat and I didn't take the time to cook a good breakfast. I found my yoga mat though!! so I can try some yoga stuff! 

Besides the cookies, I had a protein shake for breakfast, some celery and broccoli at the meeting, and then I had half of an almond butter sandwich on whole grain bread with some strawberries and then for dinner I made breakfast. For dinner, I made a simple breakfast burrito. I only had water to drink today I think. As far as I can remember at least.

For exercise, I only worked out for 30 minutes, but I think I corrected my squats and tricep dips so I'm actually doing them correctly now (I hope). They're definitely more challenging now and my muscles are all achy. I tried to do more but I was too sore and I was starting to get some sharp pains so I stopped and tried to do some stretches. I think I twisted a little wrong when doing the bicycle crunches. I was trying to rush through everything I wanted to do before I had to go to the meeting. I'll probably just try to stick to stretching and light walking the next couple of days.

My mental health was much better today. I think going to a work meeting helped. I really love where I work. It's a very relaxed job. I feel very at ease there. Seeing work peeps for a few hours made me feel better. I feel more at ease about my relationship right now too. I'm in a 5 year relationship and I was starting to feel anxious and ..I dunno? stuck? I don't think that's the right word. I just needed some freedom. But I talked to him about it and we worked some stuff out and I've relaxed again now. I don't feel so anxious about it.

I didn't draw or study today and I do regret that. I need to study more and I need to get some drawing done. This is how I get rusty.  I think my mental state, being down and stuff, has gotten in the way.
