I like being an adult with a high stress job, working with other adults who have the same high stress job. Today we discussed child abuse and what it means to serve our community. Systemic oppression came up, as did the prison industrial complex (though only briefly). We have set Monday aside to argue about a Joy Jar. Change is happening. I can feel it in my bones.

January 2: Going to Well Within with Gracie on our second day back!!
January 8: Seeing Cat & Av after the holidays! Exchanging presents and getting the Sea of Love blanket (and hiking with Cat).
January 23: D&D with the Otters, Nix, and Gracie. (dope ass drawing of Onyx looking into a tunnel on the back)
February 6: Beach time with Otter Space and Elliott! Tide pooling, beach glass.
February 6: Elliott and Avianna’s bday party!! Talking in helium, playing games, watching Princess Bride.
February 27: Seeing Gracie kick ass in Heathers and sleeping over at her house. Breakfast in the garden <3
March: The Spring Break Arcata trip. <3 <3 <3 (all of it!!!)
March 4: It’s raining. We spent the AM at Stevenson Café together, and now we’re home with nowhere to be. Candles, lentils, and pumpkin soup. Spring is coming.
March 14: Having a super gay night out at The Red with Gracie and West, then piercing Gracie’s ears!
May 8: Sequoia wants to watch Hackers, West is wearing Blue lipstick and listening to vapor wave, Avianna is making pancakes. This is a me-themed night. –Riley
August 5: Finding out that Elena is pregnant!! Immense joy!
August 6: Reunited after so long apart!! <3
August 16: Homo Romo getaway in the woods with C&A&G – one last hurrah. Murder mystery and stick n pokes.
September 10: Dogsitting Basil! Picnic in the garden with Chavi and Jay.
October 25: Pumpkin picking at Post Street Farm <3
October 27: Carving pumpkins to the sound of rain, and West kissing me senseless in the kitchen.
November 16: We are all doing so well and I'm so proud of us and I love you both so much.
December 3: “Celebrity Dick Salami is my band name” – Sequoia
December 5: Riley just made the dopest dinner ever. Snapper with lemon and capers on quinoa and brown rice!! DAMN
December 24: Getting to sleep with Orion, the best little kitty, hike through the redwoods, and explore SC all in the same day. Thank you for letting me stay at your beautiful home. So much love here. <3 Michelle, xoxo.
