Remember Etika

On a trip to New York City, my partner and I went to the outer reaches of his city to see this. A simple painted mural of a respected YouTuber: Desmond Daniel Amofah, also known as Etika. Despite his popularity of streaming and his hyperactive and energetic personality, his struggles with depression got the best of him, leaving this world in 2019.

Please, do not hesitate to get help. You will make it through.

Words can't even explain how I feel right now, because it happened so quick...

I've been watching Etika ever since I was a sophomore in high school (2015). His reactions would always make me laugh and even enlighten me. And the videos where he would be exhibiting erratic behavior, made me worry about him because they were an apparent cry for help. Hearing that he died from a friend had put me in an instant denial, so I had to look it up for myself... then my heart had completely sunk, since I didn't even know that he was missing and later being discovered dead. I will truly miss him and his exciting behavior in his reaction videos. So. I will be sending prayers to his family and friends because this is hard to bear... Rest peacefully Desmond🧡.

I also want to mention the people that are calling him a coward, and a clown for doing what he did. Y'all are the real clowns/cowards for even saying things like that when the man is no longer here. I bet y'all were the same clowns laughing at him when he was having his triggers and breakdowns. That is not even something to laugh at, since y'all are not even dealing with the issues themselves. I just don't understand how people could be so inhumane, but like etika would say, "No bitch n*ggas."

Once again, rest peacefully Desmond. You will be dearly missed.
