You can't solve a problem with the same thinking that got you there in the first place. It occured to me this morning, what an opportunity this is for all of us to shift our perspective, get out of the rut humanity has been in, and think differently than we have been for so long. Sometimes shake-ups are blessings in disguise. I'm not discounting the very real grief and sadness and loss of lives and jobs, but rather recognizing what-is, accepting, and realizing that any change can be used as a catalyst for new thinking. I've let the grief and sadness and fear wash over me. It flows in and out like a river. Rivers are healing. _ Could it be that amidst all this upheaval, we have a gift in disguise? Are we being shaken out of our stupor so that we can see more clearly? Can we use this new perspective to innovate and change our ways? It feels like a freight train being thrown off course and I think that in the end it may be the redirection humanity needed. Perhaps we weren't going to shift tracks on our own and now it is being done for us. We were heading down the tracks into a barren wasteland, and now...now? What's ahead? Cleaner oceans, bigger forests, more togetherness, more respect, more resilient communities, more care? What new path will humanity choose?
