AHAHAH I did the same thing with the same book. But it really happens with. every. single. book. When I get to the exciting part I try to speed read!

I think I read somewhere that switching from hot to cold is the best thing you can do because it goes deep into the muscle, but I haven’t tested it yet :D
I think I heard something similar once in light of footballer’s recoveries but I don’t remember many details more. :D

Try applying some ice of the part that it’s hurting, I usually leave it there for 15/20 minutes a couple of times a day and it really helps :)
Thanks for the tip. I’ve been doing that but with hot water (it has helped me before), but I haven’t tried the cold treatment yet. I’ve also been coating myself in pain cream - technical name, obviously as well -, wearing a special ‘belt’, and trying to keep a decent posture.
Ugh, this isn’t new and I’m better now that I was a couple of weeks ago, but ugh nevertheless.

The right side already hurt because it hadn’t healed properly after I twisted it some weeks ago, so the new pain wasn’t exactly needed to boot, but what can I do. Shame on me for making a watery mess in the bathroom and not wearing slippers.

You still have that friend in your life, which in my opinion is the most important thing :)
The whole thing was super ridiculous and I think that despite it all, she knows I hadn’t meant to hurt her.

Aw I know how you feel but I’ve felt the same on different occasion, but I’m sure it wasn’t as bad as it seems in your mind. I wish there was something I could say to cheer you up!
It happened a long time ago - 3/4 years - but it was definitely not one of my best moments.
Yet, I’m still friends with the ‘slapped friend’ and she’s actually the one I met for lunch today. Besides, she’s kind enough to not bring it up.
It would make a hell of a scene in a sitcom though - the whole trappings were there. haha.
