If you find yourself browsing social media platforms, especially in times of crisis and uncertainty, look for things that comfort and embolden you. Heartfelt posts from friends or family, something nice someone said, something helpful they did, a funny comic, a cute photo of a cat, a motivational clip from a show or movie, anything that would help you feel good. If something upsetting comes up anyway, ignore it. Don't engage with it. Hide it from your feed if you can. Whatever you do, don't dignify it with your time. Just scroll past it and keep looking at things that make you feel happy and safe.
Reject doomscrolling, embrace joyscrolling.
