Extremely hot take: not the biggest fan of Disenchanted. I always skip it when it comes on, along w The Light Behind Your Eyes. They both drag for me tbh. Lyrically they're pretty good, but they're too slow for my taste. My Way Home Is Through You fuckin slaps tho, def a top song fasho.
Aww man, I’m not going to lie. The Light Behind Your Eyes is, like, my favorite My Chem song in general and Disenchanted is one of my favorites off of The Black Parade and in general as well. However, if they’re too slow for you, I’m not going to disrespect that, ha. That’s probably why I like them both so much. I’m a real sucker for slower, acoustic songs from anyone really. Not just My Chem. My Chem having some slower songs in their catalog is just an added bonus, ha.
My Way Home Is Through You is a great song, yes! I love all of the Black Parade B sides though. So underrated and just so good! I’m glad they were all released.
