I consider myself very lucky to live in an area of London in which there are a lot of greener areas. In my part of Barnet, you don’t have to walk far to find a lot of trees, flowers and bushes. At this time of year, I often see flowers like these pink camellias blossom from gardens around my local park.
I am someone who always needs to take time out each day, to reflect and gather my thoughts. During lockdown, it has become even more important for me to get my daily fresh air. I took this picture on my allotted daily exercise walk in the afternoon. After living in the same place for my whole life, this area has become very special to me. I have always walked around here when I’ve just needed time to myself. I like looking at the bright pink flowers as I walk through a gentle breeze, feeling the gentle heat of the sunlight as it peeks through the trees. There is always a sense of peace here.
