The Diet Building photographed from behind. The Diet is the Japanese legislative body the building has a curious architecture. The lower half to me is very Greco Roman but the top is almost meso-American.

As we have seen establishing and maintaining a democracy is a difficult thing to do. Power gives you the ability to use that power in order to gain more power. There is always the temptation to rig things in your favor. As we have seen in many countries protecting freedom and carefully balancing people’s liberties is a difficult process.
