Sato Ryuji | 佐藤流司

A member of the Himawari Theatre Group, Sato Ryuji wanted to enter the entertainment industry from a young age following in the footsteps of “Himawari” actors such as Oguri Shun and Moriyama Mirai.

His debut was in the 2011 Kamen Rider series, Kamen Rider Fourze in the guest role as Teruhiko Satake (ep 5-6). Then in April 2013 he starred in his first theatre production in the Musical Nintama Rantaro before later appearing in the 2nd season of The Prince of Tennis Musical. At the same time Sato became a member of Present -5 - appearing the four stages over the duration of 2013/2014. 

However, his biggest break was in the 2015 NARUTO stage as the second main character Sasuke. Also in 2015 he starred in the assemble cast of Teichii no Kuni– sporting blonde hair (he also reprises the role in 2016). And recently appeared  as Kiyomitsu in Musical Touken Ranbu (2015).

Quiet so far in 2016, Sato’s first project for the year was Stage Robo Robo, with the final installment of Teichii no Kuni to be performed later in March.

Starting the profiles again - and straight off the bat is Matsuda Ryo. 

MATSUDA RYO | 松田凌

No-stranger to myus or butais (musicals or stage) Matsuda has chairmaned the K-Stage production (twice) as well as played in Messiah as the lovable but deadly Eri (stage production and late-night drama and movie).

Mostly a theater performer, he had his debut in Hakumyu (as Saito Hajime), after which he went on to star in a number of stage and musicals including those above as well as ZIPANG Pirates, THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT, and At Home with Claude as Claude, the lover killed by his boyfriend. This year (2016) he acts in Love Letters, Paranoia ★ Circus, and Laughing Under the Clouds. 

Matsuda has also acted in tokusatsu in the role of Hideyasu/ Rider Gridon in the 2014 series Kamen Rider Gaim. And recently had a breakout role in Litchi ★ Hikari Club.

Someya Toshiyuki | 染谷俊之 DOB: Dec-17-1987 Occupation: Actor (GFA Ltd.) http://ameblo.jp/someya1217/

Affliated with Ltd. GFA, Someya had his debut in 2008. After which he has been active in various mediums as an actor and model. His first work was in the stage production “So Empty” before going to act in the ASSH project “The World is built on my CUBE” (2010).

Very active as a stage performer Someya’s most known projects include: “Tokinonakade 2″ - as Fujiwara Saiwaitaka, “Musical The Prince of Tennis” - as Hirakoba, “Legend of Basara 2″ - as Asagi/The Blue King, “Yowapeda” - as Iskigaki, “Fushigi Yugi” - as Nuriko and “Messiah” as (the unfortunate) Mamiya. In 2014 he also chairman his first role in “Goodbye Shakespheare!!!” as well as appearing in “Angels of Margarita”, the 2015 production of “Host-chan: The Final” and recently in “Maboroshi no Shiro ~Sengoku no Utsukushiki Kyouki~”

Not only an exclusive stage actor, Someya has appeared as at 2015 in 10 movies. His debut in the 2009 horror “Tokyo Gore School | School Underground” before appearing twice in “Nana and Kaoru” (Chapter 1 and 2). Then in 2014 he starred as the co-protagonist in “Kabaddieen” (starring alongside Shogo Suzuki as Raider 2).  Also in 2015 he acted in both “Gewalt” movies as a delinquent and “Walk Together”.

This year (2015) he co-starred in “Eating Crabs” (and its follow up “Counting Sheep”) as well as “Kamikaze BAR”.

In contrast, Someya has only appeared in a few dramas. His first appearance as a high school student in “Akuma Love~Vampire Boy” (2009). Quiet for a number of years, Someya returned to the television screen in 2015 with the drama adaptation of “Messiah ~ Eisei no Shou” - reprising his stage role as Mamiya, and in “Hakuoki SSL ~ Sweet School  Life” playing the role of Saito. Although he did appear between 2009-2010 in “Tokyo Mayokara” in various roles.

Miyazaki Shuuto | 宮崎秋人 DOB: Sep-03-1990 Occupation: Actor (DBoys)

Affliated with Watanabe Entertainment, Miyazaki was a member of the “pot challenge” troupe before his graduation in 2013. Then in 2015 it was announced he’d become a member of DBoys.

A stage actor primarily, Miyazaki had his start with ROMEO x JULIET (2011), then went on to star in Musical Hakuoki (2012- 2015) as Nagakura Shinpachi. After which he starred in ABC ★ Akasaka Boys cabaret and went one to win, arguably his most well known role, as Shinkai Hayato from the Yowapedal stage (2013-2015). Another role made famous is Yuta from the Messiah stageplays (2014-2015) (and TV drama (2015)) and Hide from Tokyo Ghoul Stage (2015). Furthermore, in 2015 Miyazaki stars in his first D-stage production “D-Stage 17th Yuhiden” as an offical member.

In 2016 he chairmans his first role with Fairy Tale Stage (2016) playing Nakutsu

Quiet when it comes to movies, Miyazaki has nonetheless acted to both Ooku (2012) and The Killing Curriculum (2015) where he co-starred with Yonehara Kousuke (and kissed him).

Yamashita Shoon | 山下翔央 DOB: Dec-20-1988 Occupation: Actor (Sky Corp.)

Formally a Johnny Jr., Yamashita belonged to the group Ya-Ya-Yah before his leaving of the company in 2010 (although by 2007 he was regularly seen in any projects) to pursue solo activities. June 2010 he joined talent company Sky Corporation and participated in a marathon event. However at the same time all his working commitments were paused as he studied. After graduating from Chuo University (in the Facility of Law), Shoon resumed him activities and started in Oct 2011 to appear in TV shows. This year (2015) he left Sky Corporation. Active in some dramas, Shoon is more famously known for his theatre performances with having acted in as at 2015 in 25 different productions including: Endless SHOCK (2008), Stand by Me (2004), Full House (2008), CLUB SLAZY The 2nd Invitation (2013), BUMP (2014), Atami Murders Battle Royal (2014), Tsukakohei Doubles 2014 (2014) and ALTAR BOYZ (2014).

Futhermore, as a Johnny Jr. Yamashita performed in a number of concerts and productions over his years with the company, the last Summer Johnny’s SUMMARY 2008. Afterwhich with his new company he performed as part of Cielbleu in MEN-tertainment (2011) and Cielbleu’s 1st LIVE (in 2012). The group now disbanded.

Nakamura Tomoya | 中村倫也 DOB: Dec-24-1986 Occupation: Actor (Topcoat)

Affliated with Topcoat, Tomoya has been active as an actor for many years. Scouted in his first year of high school he began training at Artist ☆ Artist before his debut in 2005. His first film Seven Butterflies, he then went on to act in the horror Rampo Noir (2005). Following on he appeared in numerous films over the years, some well-known titles and indie-house productions: Cafe Daikanyama II (2008), SPINNING KITE (2013), Maestro! (2015) and most recently in the cast for Piece of Cake (2015) and Lost and Found (2016).

Not only an actor on films, Tomoya has also appeared regularly in dramas. Some popular titles including: H2 (2005), Hokaben (2008), Homeroom on the Beachside (2008), Triangle (2009), High School Entrance Exam (2012), Gunshi Kanbei (2014), First Class 2 (2014), Replay & Destroy, and Aoi Honoo (2015) to name but a few.

In terms of stage, he is also very active. Starting in his first production in Twilight (2008), Tomoya has appeared since in 21 projects. His most famous roles arguably, Okita Soji from the Hakuoki Shinsengumi stage (2010), Brad in Rocky Horror Picture Show (2011), Rodger in RENT (2012), Portia in Merchant of Venice (2013) and Irwin in HISTORY BOYS (2014) - a role that awarded him the 22nd Yomuri Theatre Award of Excellence - and this year (2015) he returned in Lychee ☆ Hikari Club (as Zera).

Mochizuki Ayumu | 望月歩 DOB: Sep-28-2000 Occupation: Actor (Hirata Office)

Young and only just had a birthday, Mochizuki became a working actor at the age of 13 in 2014 after winning the role as Kasahiwagi Takuya in the mostly unknown cast of the Solomon Perjury movies. Since then he has gone on to act in Umoreru (2014), the SP 461 Pieces of Thank you (2015) - based off a true story - and recently Mother’s Game (2015) in the semi-regular role of Odadera Akira. He is a powerful actor so watch this space.
