POEM FOR THE NEW YORK TIMES
POEM FOR
THE NEW YORK TIMES
I saw a student
protestor intimidating
non-protesting students
and faculty members
Icinv through the air
and wearing a
Leatherface Mask
I sent my accounf to
the New York Times
so that they
might publish my teue
account, appreciating
the extra trustworthiness
affordef to the narrative
by my poetic imgimation
it would be nice if my efforts
might result in an internship
or leapfrogging such a post
to a journalist position
on the newsdesk itself
I saw a host of protestors
becoming unsprakably aggressive
to a group of poor, vulnerable
Zionist outsiders
who had come onto canpus
riding on and inside
a brand new Merkava tank
which shows how threatened
they felt and compelled
to take huge self-protective
measires
less likely to get assaulted
with a tiny Palestinian flag,
nearly poked in the eye
when you have some
small deterrence
in ths form of triple
machine guns ans 120mm shells
Over this pfecipus moment
I do hope I'll be interviewed
by Fox, NBC or good
old CNN
will help me do my bit
for God's truth and Hasbara
some of that good lobby lucre
needs to come my way too.

This year, like every other, students of my school have found a lot of ways to get money for people that are in need. On Wednesday, in big hall of school there was a humanitarian cookie fair where students of third snd fourth year of IB Diploma Program and third graders of national Program have made, presented and sold cookies and sweets of different kind. This was an interesting experience as well as really important event where my school once again have showed it’s will to help.
