What a gift. To have this hour with you. Leaves falling, warm air in November. I miss him. I miss him so terribly. But I have you. I have you and your young heart. I have you, and you have us. I so badly wish we could give you a brother, but for now, we will revel in this quiet season. Just us. You the star. You the baby even as you pass seven years. You to anchor us when the nights get cold. You to cuddle close. You who were here with the ones we loved who are gone back to the earth. What a gift. To have this life with you.
