Like it's important to me that, if Jin Guangyao killed Jin Rusong (And I am inclined to think he did), he didn't just do it to protect his own reputation. I think he was thinking of Qin Su's and maybe even Jin Rusongs' own reputation as well. If Qin Su had what in society's eyes is seen as a 'wrong' child, the damage to her reputation would be tremendous, and we know that Jin Guangyao is sensitive about her reputation. And maybe he saw it as a mercy killing. He does know what it's like to be seen as inherently wrong by society. For a disabled kid, this might be thrice as bad. Maybe he saw it as a way to protect Jin Rusong from the scrutiny he would have faces. I think he did love that kid, and I think killing him was the most difficult choice he made in his life.
