i like to think if john made a list of his proudest accomplishments that "being part of the group of people who exposed lonelygirl15 as a fictitious production" would make the list b/c i think abt that All The Time
"hank, do you think we're closer than we were last year?" "john, we're singing a duet. i think that's abundantly clear." is v important to me
like?? it's weird to think about now but john and hank weren't super close beforehand, the point of brotherhood 2.0 was to bring them closer together, and. i have a lot of feelings about the brotherhood but mostly what a privilege to get to know them as they got to know each other again, john saying in his last brotherhood 2.0 video that he was so surprised by how funny and smart hank was, not because he hasn't always been but because the last time he knew him really well hank was eleven
(sidebar: the "when i was eleven the punchline was always poop. now it's only like 30% of the time." is probably one of my favourite things john has ever said it warms my heart)
and having finished watching the show yesterday "in 2006 i fell in love with ze, and i told my brother hank that we should do the same thing our way" gets me right in the gut because these two brothers found common ground as adults watching ze frank and being inspired by him and it became something so extraordinary
and it brings me more joy than anything for them to say that they're still making videos even though i was never in suspense wondering
