wait now that i think about it, how did we go from ‘everything has its time and everything dies’ (heyy Moffat borrowed that from Davies for ten! nice)
to ‘i don’t like endings’ was that just ten’s quadruple companion/Master trauma (i.e. Donna taking the absolute cake)?
Did Eleven do a couple (?) of thousand years of recovery from that, overcoming all that denial (’i’m not gonna LOOK at the endings’) somewhere along the line? Making peace with River dying/disappearing from his life forever, and getting some peace from the Ponds getting an arguably nice long mundane life to live out together? And then Twelve of course (GOD THAT DELIVERY) ‘endings are always sad’ but having had a final long hurrah with River?
interestingly enough, the Doctor is like: i carry them with me. what they would have done, what they would have thought. (A GREAT DEVELOPMENT)
And Graham says: Grace would have wanted me to kill Tim Shaw, as a way to stop him. Is that true??? Or is he just saying that? because that would have been genuinely interesting.
