In their relationship people don't mention how Kusuo is also a freak about Kusuke in his own very emotional way, it's always about Kusuke getting off from losing to his brother and being obsessed
I'm not saying Kusuo is sexually getting off from winning against his brother is making his life revolve around him I meant in a self deprecating way, he takes everything Kusuke has ever said or done toward with to heart.
He believes Kusuke hates him for being superior to him in every way, I believe Kusuo wishes he could hate him but from his own attachment to his older brother, he just can't?
He seems actually quite shocked or unsure about the possibility of Kusuke not actually hating him, and I think that's something interesting
And that on the off handed comment of Kusuke calling Kusuo a monster? Kusuo takes that really really hard. Very much a part of shaping Kusuo's view that he's like a monster, adding on how he hates his powers and wants to be an average person.
Kusuke is a part of the reason why Kusuo thinks of himself so negatively and I also believe that he is a little bit of another reason why Kusuo isn't using his powers for evil,
he says his mom makes sure he grew up to not use his powers for evil (that's Kusuo's main reason and that's sweet) but I feel like Kusuke had a little influence on that, Kusuo not wanting to become a monster or be a monster. To prove Kusuke wrong in a way

He blames himself in a way for Kusuke became, he doesn't hate him despite all the bad stuff he has done to his brother, the only way is if Kusuke did something absolutely horrible that Kusuo can't justify by spinning the blame onto himself, and he also keeps repressing memories of Kusuke and when he does remember he's not okay.
Kusuke tries to hurt him? His fault.
His obsession? It's his fault for having powers
And so on...
So I do believe Kusuo is a freak about Kusuke, sort of reciprocating but it's more complicated and such. Not in a sexual way but more emotional than it is.
He really wants a normal relationship with his older brother but that can't really happen can it?
