3. favorite line/scene you wrote this year

hmmMM that's hard! there's a couple that come to mind, but I think the one that's my personal favorite is a scene from bus fic (one more slide) that hasn't been posted yet! can't say much about it bc it's part of an important sideplot 👀 but here's a lil spoiler-free excerpt from the first draft of it:

Kyle was so wrapped up in his excitement, hands shaking with adrenaline, that he barely registered the sounds around him until a disgruntled and confused groan resonated through the silence. He froze. Fuck.

13. favorite writing song/artist/album of this year

DEFINITELY how do you feel now? by joywave, it somehow became the soundtrack to my WWCOMMS series last november/december so i guess it counts for both this year and last year? but it fits the vibe of that AU sooo perfectly so it's been really perfect to listen to while writing that this year :)

24. favorite fic you read this year

besides the obvious answer of literally anything any of my friends wrote this year (or any from previous years that i revisited!) i have to say some of the dreamnotfound fics i read this year were INSANELY good- heat waves/helium is incredible of course, and there was this author i found called saintaches whose stuff is just SO good it made me dnf trash in like five seconds 🤪 i'd maybe say my favorite fic was one they wrote called 'zero'

(7x16pm/cannibaltranssexual) ok so i told myself i wouldnt read the lamb and his monster until after i was done writing my own italy fic cause i accidentally came up w the same general premise for mine before i saw yours (and i don't want to accidentally like . copy from your fic without realizing) but literally every detail that i catch about it looks sooo good. like of course hannibal would consider framing will for the il mostro killings. and did i hear young hannibal w a motorcycle 👀 . anyways basically just trying to say your brain is so so powerful, im obsessed w young hannigram in florence, and this is one of the main things motivating me to work on my own fic so ty <3

Aaaaaaaa thank you sm!! Also!! There’s pitiful few fics about Hannibal and Will in Florence being young and beautiful and in love and murdery together with maybe a motorcycle thrown in, and we need as many as we can get. I know another writer working on a fic with the same premise right now and I am so excited to read it, and yours too! Sure, some plot points might be similar, we don’t have a whole lot of legroom to work with, but no matter what the fic will be your iteration of it and that’s what makes it singular. I hope you enjoy my take and am so hyped for yours, you have to let me know when you post it!
