After The Ball & Beyond

Hello, I was on hiatus for health reasons and lack of laptop. my motherboard fried and died. but anywhoo...

we left off at the ball, it was beautiful and magical yada yada.....

2 days after the ball on November 23, 2015 Jerry was diagnosed with a stage 4 cancerous brain tumor, a Gliobastoma.

we went to San Francisco and he underwent treatment, we had a ball getting to know each other again. we wined and dined... we sight saw it was so much fun.

On March 23, 2017 Jerry Took his last breath.

I loved him to the very end.

I got the idea from @mindofkye on IG. Her dress inspired my dress && it was (IMPO) the most creative dress at the ball. I loved dancing with my husband && a few friends. I had a Ball!!

Ball was dope, wife's dress came out perfect so that's all that really matters. Had a fun time even though we were fashionably late but the important people didn't notice. Definitely had a blast with me and my boys and it way better than last year.

Christmas Cheer, Sinatra && Things Of That Nature.

Christmas is so hard to do in Hawai'i, I’m so used to red green and gold && fat guys in red suits, snow, mittens && cold. Here, it’s bright blue, lime green and silver, santa rocks an Aloha shirt, it’s too hot for Hot Chocolate and there (obvi) is no snow. I practically geeked myself up for Christmas && played all the carols but it seemed a futile process. Buttercup wasn’t much help but I don’t blame him, he was raised in a religion that doesn’t celebrate holidays. Next year I’ll try harder. I’ll go all out.

Sinatra is our dog, Buttercup’s dog mostly because he seems to like him better than me but he’ll come around. I’ll keep treats in my pocket or something. Lol.

I’ve been off this last week, I’ve been lazy. I’m gonna get my life in order by next week. Maybe. Hopefully. Who knows.

So, life happened again and thanksgiving has passed, its like Christmas Eve Eve. Jerry and I are having dinner now (papa John's pizza) and looking at Sinatra. He's our new puppy, he sleeps a lot and kinda ignores us, well Jerry, he likes me I guess. In a few weeks he'll be used to us and he maybe more interesting. But for now he's pretty chill. Jerry is playing w.o.w and I'm doing this. I think I've hit a riff. I probably won't post until after Christmas but y'all will be aight. Toodles.

Shall We Begin? Thursday was the Marine Corps Birthday Ball for Buttercup's Battalion && It Was So Very Fun. I'm Glad I Went && I'm Sure Buttercup is Too. He'll Be Posting His Thoughts Later.

Let's Get Down To The Fun Part... I Did My Own Makeup With Assistance Via Skype From Jelisa, Who Wins The Best Sister Award For Sending Me Her 120 Pro, Carnival && Party Girl Palettes as Well as Her Good Foundation Brush, Mascara Primer && My Favorite Chicken Sauce && She Put Notes For Everything. The Love I Feel Is Amazing && i Truly Do Appreciate Her. I Used Smash Box Photo Finish Primer && Sephora Liquid Foundation. My Blush Was M.A.C Dusty Rose I Believe. For My Gloss i Used E.L.F Pink Lemonade with a Spot of L.A Girl Super Intense Color Extra Glossy Finish in GLG798 Which is a Dark Vampy Lip Paint. Very In For Fall (Thanks Kylie Jenner)).

My Hair Was In Box Braids in a High Bun That Buttercup Helped me With (Clap Clap Clap). Very Chic && Simple.

My Jewerly Was From Icing (Necklace) && Charlotte Russe (Midi Rings && Earrings). I Usually Dislike Statment Necklaces But i Knew I Was Gonna Have To Wear One && I Was Looking For About a Month For One I Liked Enough. This Was The Winner && I Am No Longer Afraid of Statement Necklaces. I Might Find An Outfit To Wear It .

They Have a Portion Called Ceremony. Takes About An Hour, Its Very Formal and Involves So Much Standing && Sitting && Standing && Sitting. I Can Honestly Say After Ceremony, Dinner Went Pretty Fast (Possibly Due To The Children's Plates We Were Served) && Was Pretty Tasty (Despite Being Very Little To Taste).

Today I Met a New Friend, We Went For Ramen Which is A Thing Here. Its Very Fancy && Delicious. In Chicago, Ramen Is a Poor College Kid Thing. After That We Went For a Walk && As Always; Hawai'i Never Disappoints With The Amazing Views. I Hope We Hang Put More. Since Buttercup Has Been Gone, I've Ventured Out More && Learned My Way Around The Base. I Found The Base Pool && Bowling Alley. 😊 I Miss My Niece. Like A Lot. I Plan To Do The Guest Bathroom As An Homage To Her. I Can't Wait Honestly. Jerry Doesn't Know Yet Though. It'll Be Really Cute. Jerry Comes Home Soon, I Can't Wait. We're Going On a Date.
