The Gang’s All Here...

Usher meets up with his friends at the gym.  2nd pic: There’s Javon Moore, brother-in-law, Vin Diesel, Jared Morales, Asya Rasmussen-Emmons, and Lamont Owens.

Brooklyn walks into the studio with the ladies.

Brook:  This is Seth, the Owner. These are my best friends, Tehya and Tina.

Tina:  Oh you’re the one that’s gonna keep us from looking like weeble-wobbles, right?  Nice to meet ya.

Tehya:  Hi Seth, so how we gonna do this?

Brook: Tehya, you’re the veteran of this Mommy Club.  *to Seth*  This is her 2nd child.  I thought it would be nice to honor her somehow.

Seth:  Aah, well I think we can figure this out.  I must tell you...you ladies look absolutely radiant and gorgeous.  This is gonna be really special.  

He walks over to them and starts directing them into a very sweet pose. 

Tehya, is it?  Why don’t you stand here?  Brooklyn and...Tina, right?  You guys stand here.

BEAUTIFUL! Stay there, don’t move.  And all 3 of you, now..bow your heads down and close your eyes.  Yes.    *Seth walks behind his camera and takes several photos*  ...This is it, right here.  *camera clicks*

Brooklyn thought her friends would love to commemorate this moment in time with a photo where they are all pregnant together. She and Tina are both having their 1st child.

Like a zombie on autopilot...Tehya gets up around 6:30 am to do laundry, moving slowly as if in pain.  Her family leave hasn’t kicked in yet and she’s got a few days off from Make A Dish Bistro.

She’s procrastinated so long that some of their clothes are sticking to the hamper lining. And socks feel stiff to the touch.  Jared’s basketball shirts and shorts have been marinating in funk for who knows how long.

She showers and does her hair, then stuffs her stinky pajamas into the machine as well; silently promising herself she’ll do better about staying on top of the laundry..knowing full well she won’t.

It’s late.  Like, 4:35 a.m Thursday morning.  Jared can’t sleep.

He went searching all the pockets in the laundry hampers cause Tehya asked him to make sure they were all clear.  ....Jeffery usually leaves glue sticks, crayons, paper, and all kindsa things in his pockets.  

Never thought he’d find a GOLDFISH.  Can’t believe the thing’s still alive!

Jared named him...Lucky.

Lucky cause he ain’t gonna get soaped up in the washing machine later on.

Let’s Work....Let’s Play!

2 hours later, Tehya returns home with a clean bill of health and knowledge of the baby she’s carrying.  She debates whether to call Jared now and let him know..or maybe she can be more creative with it.  

She can’t deny that she feels an incredible weight lifted and spends some much needed time with Jeffery, explaining to him that he’s about to start going to Pre-School tomorrow with other kids his age. He can make new friends and play with them, and learn new things!

Jeffery:  And, and..... I can say my numbwors!

Tehya laughs:  Yes you can!  You work so hard on your numbers, don’t you, baby?

Jeffery nods and keeps nodding bigger and bigger til he bumps his head on a corner piece of the plastic tree house. But, he doesn’t cry.

Tehya:  You funny, lil man, you know that?...Hahaa, you’re alright.

Jeffery starts laughing.

Jared, glad to have a day off from the hospital, takes a seat beside his boys Usher and best friend, Eric Lewis.

Looks like Lola Galvin is pre-occupied with Marcus Flex. I hope she’s not gonna break Sergio Spencer’s heart. He’s just had his heart broken with his baby mama Asya taking his daughter Sierra away and moving to San Myshuno.

Jared and his high school buddy Javon give each other some dap and discuss plans for keeping up with their fitness club, Pure Iron.

Jared’s off to start his day at the hospital.

Jared:  I’m out, Tay..Keep ya head up!

Teyha:  Okay baby, I will.  

Teyha calls the nanny they interviewed and hired a few months ago.  Riya Srivastava came well-recommended.  She is from Selvadorada.  She moved to Newcrest over 20 years ago during the Great Build in order to find work.  She’s helped raise a ton of young adults in this community who are now its future leaders. And Tehya and Jared really loved her beautiful locs, and that tipped the scales in her favor. She’s very spiritual and she truly cares about Jeffery.

Tehya takes Eden and Everly Clinton across the street to see a movie for a couple of hours.

Tehya hoped this would give Brook and Leland enough time to get most of their moving done, but with all this rain, it looks impossible.

On top of that...Little Everly seemed in such a bad mood the whole time. At one point, she ran out of the theater, but came back in after the scary part was over.  She wanted to be with her Daddy, Leland.  Not her Aunt Eden, and definitely not her stepmom’s best friend, Tehya.  So when it was time to say goodbye, Everly had very little to say.
