Oelek: Super Many Guns (2016) Self-released by JTPE. Oelek is an alias of the artist JTPE, on this album he presents a collection of 18 housey tunes. And what a great collection it is. The music ranges from wacky Electro like tracks at the beginning, to more Braindance tunes, to some solid Hardcorish music near the end of the record. While some of the synth sounds are a bit basic, there's plenty of fun to be had, listening to these tracks, Oelek's got a great feel for melodies and the production is very controlled and polished. Highlights include tracks like Discoy12-b with its wacky melodies and old-school 80's sound, what a great jam and then we've got the track Schaduwbindsel which's got Breakcore influences in its use of Amen breaks. Overall, a very nice record, so grab it above!
