There was a podcast from WotC story team that addressed Liliana and Jace's relationship before hour of devastation began and it acknowledged how bad it was and it was heavily implied that someone or something will step in to bring recognition or put an end to it.

Yeah, I’m aware.  I still am not very happy with the way they’ve handled it overall.

Is there no way to print foil versions of dual lands for people to run in decks they are trying to completely foil out due to the reserved list?

I love tge Majora's Mask snippets, but they got me thinking. Does Link retain his ability to turn people into masks in Reconciliations? I get he probably wouldn't want to, but are you keeping it as a tool in his arsenal?

Reserving the right to change my answer on this one because it hasn’t entirely crystallized in my head yet, but technically he does, yes.  It’s just that the Song of Healing’s effect isn’t TECHNICALLY as specific as “turns people into masks”.

Technically in RR canon, we’ve seen it do three things:

Turn some DEAD people into masks

Free people FROM transformation masks (freed Link from the Deku Scrub mask, which he did not initially put on himself, and freed the heads-on-sticks from the monster masks they were wearing)

Free Thomas from Agahnim’s Mind Control

The third bullet there is likely a corollary of the second, mechanically speaking - one spirit controlling/possessing/influencing another and playing the song ends the control/connection.  Agahnim wasn’t using a mask on Thomas, but the function of the spell was roughly the same, minus the physical transformation.  A spirit other than his own was driving his body.

(Hypothetically, the song could have worked on Dark Link as well to separate him from Brayden, but Link didn’t have it yet at that point, so, you know, stabbing happened.)

But the song has limits.  It won’t work on all spirits (living or otherwise).  And it doesn’t always turn them into masks.  The mask element likely requires a very specific set of circumstances.

Why does Nicol Bolas' card type use Bolas while all the other planeswalkers use their first names as their types?

OH YEAH, birthday questions! I actually would like to ask trivia on 5 color philosophy. Is there something unique to being 5 color that isn't just throwing all 5 philosophies into one?

Five color has the ethos of balance, of experiencing all that life has to offer, of embracing conflicts and internalizing them.

I think the funniest thing for Sorin (devoid of sides with him vs nahiri) is that in his point of view of the story, he literally thinks to himself "better word this carefully so she doesn't get mad" and proceeds to be a massive asshat.

I mean, I feel for the guy.  I know a lot of people who are really bad at interpersonal communication, and I can have trouble with it myself.  Doesn’t magically mean that people aren’t allowed to be mad at them tho.

My assumption for the refined project lightning bug is not that it actually can tell where the walkers went. I think it just knows a general direction or some sort of feedback based on energy of that plane, and Ral himself knows what that is.

Possible, but it’s still confusing, because you have to go through the Eternities to get to another plane, so I’m wondering how it’s detecting anything about the “other side” of the trip.  Since it seems like that would have to imply at least detection of the Eternities themselves.

According to maro, Karn goes by no gender. However, Karn is a big ol cinnamon roll and goes by whatever people call him.
