NAH, NAH, anezka just held a gun at her, but she fought her off + apparently she and luisa just wanted to lock petra away in a storage place anyway. all good :P

I KNOW!!! that episode last year where they went to help jane on her night out was priceless! and even when they were in the car now arguing about who has feelings for who... i honestly wish that the show would actually consider this as an option

It's not even Mon-El per se I have a problem with. Like if he wasn't with Kara, I would've been fine with him. But Karamel is fucking boring as hell, and it annoys me that literally every man on the show has to be either in love with Kara or in a relationship with her. It's tiring, ESPECIALLY because Kara has amazing chemistry with Lena and that this white ship replaced a perfect interracial ship. I'm just annoyed ugh.

Mon-El is really not a terrible character by himself, but the way he fits into the story - including the love interest part, is. At this point, it’s hard for me to separate all that, because I am too just really annoyed at the whole situation, and how most characters on the show didn’t have any substantial, developed storylines this season while he was hogging screentime left and right, so.... yeah. And it’s particularly a slap in the face for James’ character, who was very visibly sidelined after being randomly replaced in his love interest function, but Kara as well, who hasn’t had an independent storyline this whole season and I’m just done.

I never had any grand illusions about the Kara/Lena thing, but make no mistake, the writers knew exactly what they were doing when they were hinting at it. And they also knew that they never had any intention following through.

I’m just tired of the apparent CW nonsense that surrounds the show now, and want this season to be over with. I’m hoping that next year they’ll do a better job balancing network notes with what the show originally stood for.

Hi! I'm not sure if you're the right person to ask this, but since you've just binged, how is Yael/Petra's Czech on jtv? Is it passable?

Unfortunately, I’m definitely not the right person to ask. I only speak a bit of Serbian - and badly at that. Which is still fairly different from Czech. The only thing I can personally conclude is that it sounds Slavic. ;D

this might be because i’ve known about this twist for a while now but... i’m not mad about the death on jtv

i love this show, and not just some aspects of it, the whole wacky heartful package of it, including every single character. and sometimes stuff happens on it that i don’t like, or don’t agree with, but i still find solace in the wackiness and all those sincere emotions i get from it.

what they did here was basically delaying a death in the story. filling that time with so many wonderful moments for the character and for us, the viewer. and i’m okay with that.

i totally understand if this is something that turned people off for good, if they are pissed and betrayed... i just don’t feel that way

i’m sad, but it’s the kind of sad where a tv show gives me an emotional release platform. not... angry sad.

anyway, i’m just gonna get on with me catching up with the show further

yeah Im also a person who tries to like everyone but I gave up on that train a long time ago sis

i mean, i know that that’s generally not the case, and some characters are always just gonna tick us off... but for them to make me want to punch a character this hard in the 5th season on a show where i p much have sympathy for everyone... that’s something i guess.

honestly, even by the end of the episode where he stopped actively undermining jane’s authority and had somewhat of a talk with mateo, i was like... i don’t think he realizes how bad this was??? he let their son copy his resentment towards jane and that’s not okay.

it's so weird that this comes right before "becoming" especially when "i only have eyes for you" was so good

i know! s2 is fondly remembered for a reason, and has so much iconic stuff, but there are also some really weird filler episodes... still, to have this one especially in this placement is just... puzzling. it doesn’t even have any remote connection to the character or season arcs? i don’t know what happened here.

YOU NEED TO CATCH UP MY FRIEND. Omg the first half of the last season was some of the most enjoyable and satisfying sci-fi I've seen since the good bits of BSG. Ok, maybe I'm overstating it. But close!

i did actually see that! the last episode i watched was 5x14.

tbh, i can’t quite remember what my feelings were on the first part, i think i generally liked it (i tend to be on board for time travel stuff), but i probably had mixed feelings about some of the stuff? and then afterwards in usual aos fashion they went too far with some things for my liking, mistreated daisy, etc... so i had to take a break.

i’m still not sure when or if i’ll catch up tbh, i danced this dance way too many times with this show at this point.

But what if it's Scott trying to frame Petra? I mean, he has all the reasons. And they only found a skeleton. With JTV the rule of 'until i see a body i don't believe they're dead' doesn't apply. We've seen plenty of bodies and people came back anyway. [On another note, I am also still scared that the one being framed isn't Petra, but Anezka who switched "bodies" before killing her sister and Petra is actually dead :/]

SO MANY POSSIBILITIES. You’re right, they could definitely bring back Scott for this twist. As for the other theory though, as classic as the twin body switch is, they wouldn’t kill off Petra that way. Killing off random people in ridiculous fashion left and right is one thing, but Petra is a major beloved character - she would be getting more of a Michael treatment in that scenario.

jadflkga i haven’t thought about it that way, but it also feels like we’ve been done with magda already... so many times? mostly though she’s the only one whose death i would be 0% upset about tbh :P
