i think this is the first time i just straight up killed the owlbears, whoops

#mse's playing baldur's gate 3 #in my defense gale is very bad at hiding and didn't have animal speak #...so i walked up to the owlbears with the character that had but that just aggroed them and at that point... i kinda wanted to see #like i fought the mama owlbear in my first playthrough too because i remember getting the scene where the kid starts eating the mom lmao #but this time the baby owlbear stayed aggro on me after the fight so i had to non-lethal them. not sure if they'll appear at the goblins #didn't feel very good about it but we're just gonna roll with it i guess

someone remind me not to check the comment sections on these videos though because people sure were weird about marisha ray and her character, like... jesus

#i already knew about the problem player but no one told me about the random misogyny hooo boy #2016 was a dark time for women in nerd spaces to be fair though

started veilguard. so far mostly just encountered the things i already knew about, like how very few worldstate choices are accounted for, or the single-player combat (which i don't mind, it's different, but it's done in an interesting way), but my first nitpick outside of that is that even the character background doesn't seem to have been all that seamlessly integrated into the dialogues. like, i was having a conversation with an npc that was from the same faction as me, and it looked like the game almost caught itself after giving me the default dialogue being like 'it's kinda weird that you just said that given your background'. like, yeah, i agree. it's weird. thanks for lamphsading it i guess. also, i had no dialogue option about my qunari ancestry and no one has commented about it yet, so that's a bit worrisome. the way roleplaying is expressed through the character's interactions with the world based on their background is one of my favorite elements of the dragon age games, even if it's sometimes just small, minute dialogue choices here and there.

idk if this is a hot take but life is strange: reunion is truly the most nothingburger lis game ever made

like, i'm gonna be so real, as much as i like max and chloe and all that jazz, i think i might actually prefer double exposure to this... or at least definitely the first 2/3s of double exposure

#like idk the fact that (spoiler alert i guess) you can basically have a good ending where you do everything right objectively #is just not very crunchy especially for a lis game #at no point did i ever feel conflicted about a choice because i literally did everything right #and there was very little happening overall and we barely spent any time with the supporting cast #it really is just so... empty and risk averse #it's almost depressing that apparently this is the game that did well...#but then again i bought it too so that's kinda on me too #mse's playing life is strange: reunion
