Jito Links JTX Revenue Directly to JTO Buybacks and Burns

Jito has approved JIP-38, introducing a revenue model designed to return value generated by the upcoming JTX exchange to the Jito DAO.

JTX will retain 20% of trading fees to support platform development. The remaining 80% will be transferred to the DAO, which has committed its entire share to buying JTO on the open market and permanently burning the acquired tokens.

The programme will operate for at least one year following the launch of JTX and will be reviewed by the community in Q4 2027.

Key elements include:

🔹 Automated buybacks through Rev Splitter 🔹 Publicly verifiable on-chain transactions 🔹 Regular DAO reports on revenue and burned tokens 🔹 Community control over future revenue allocation 🔹 Expansion of JTX from Solana spot trading to perpetual futures and prediction markets

JTO rose more than 9% following the announcement. However, the model’s long-term effectiveness will depend on JTX trading volume and actual revenue generation.
