1. what’s their love language?
Juan's love language is physical touch and acts of service, and Huntley's is quality time. With Juan helping Libertad and Huntley still working jobs for the CIA, they're not home together all that often. But when they are, Juan will make them both a nice breakfast/lunch/dinner and cuddle with him on the couch afterward while watching a movie.
Luckily, Huntley's love language meshes very well with Juan's and their equally hectic schedules. Spending quality time with him on the couch or in bed together is the best part of his day.
2. who confesses first?
Juan probably confesses first and it sends Huntley into a gay awakening/panic. He's never questioned his sexuality before! He didn't realize he could have romantic feelings for a man until Juan confessed. Poor Huntley is oblivious to all of Juan's previous flirting and hint dropping, much to his dismay.
3. who plans the dates?
They don't really have time to go on planned dates, so whenever they both happen to be free, they'll either cook a meal together or go out and see a movie or go sightseeing someplace.
4. who’s the better driver?
Huntley is leagues above Juan when it comes to safe driving skills. Never get in the car when Juan is at the wheel because you'll either end up in a crash and get injured, or he'll hit a tree and you'll almost get killed when it falls on the hood of his car.
Driving with Huntley is the safest thing you can choose to do when hanging out with these two. He acts like he's an old southern lady who's bringing home the leftover sweet tea in a giant pot from the reception after mass at church.
5. who likes to be the little spoon?
They both enjoy being the little spoon, but more often than not, they sleep facing each other instead of spooning. Summers in Yara get stupidly hot, so some nights they don’t even cuddle. They’ll both lay like a starfish and push each other off the bed in their sleep.
6. what’s their stance on PDA?
Juan loves PDA. He wants everyone to know that Huntley is his and his alone. He’ll hug on him and kiss on him and pretend that he’s melting if he doesn’t get attention every 10 minutes.
As for Huntley, he’s fine with PDA, but he wouldn't instigate it himself. He prefers to give his affection in privacy since he’s rather shy when it comes to that kinda stuff. He doesn’t mind when Juan gets lovey-dovey in public though. He finds it cute.
7. who shows affection through words?
Juan!!! He's extremely verbally affectionate because it makes Huntley blush so red he looks like he's sunburnt. Then Juan'll tease him about how flustered he gets. It's a never-ending loophole that Juan loves to abuse. Huntley shoves his hand in his face which gets him nowhere since he'll just lick his palm until he lets go.
8. who shows affection through touch?
It's Juan again! He'll hold his hand and stroke Huntley's knuckles with his thumb, rub his back, that kinda stuff. Whenever Juan gives him back rubs, Huntley is fast asleep in minutes. Huntley sleeps like the dead, there's no waking him up until he's ready to get up.
9. how do they like to initiate intimacy?
Just like Dani and Philly, they too are super busy so anytime they have a chance to do the devil's tango, it's very impromptu. But when they do get it on, they're stupidly loud. Like, annoyingly loud.
10. do they have a dream wedding venue?
They dream of getting married in the mountains behind Patriots Peak Camp, in the same place El Tigre and Lorenzo got married. It's a special place since they were the first gay couple to get married in Yara after it was legalized, so Juan and Huntley want to honor that and tie the knot there too.
11. how do they comfort each other?
They'll comfort each other by cuddling and letting whoever is upset vent to them about whatever it is that's making them mad. When it's Juan that's upset, he'll rant and rave and pace back and forth across the room until he gets over it. Then it's time for cuddles since he gets pouty afterward.
Huntley will bottle everything up and be in a mood when he's angry or frustrated. He's not used to having someone to talk to about his problems so he's working on being more open in that sense. But before the end of the day, he'll vent to Juan by yelling. He doesn't get aggressive by any means, he's just better at getting his pent-up anger out very loudly.
12. what’s an ideal evening for them?
An ideal evening for them is having a nice dinner, watching a TV show or movie, then going to bed early. They both have busy jobs so it's a privilege when they can go to bed at a regular hour instead of 4 in the damn morning.
13. who’s the most playful in bed?
Surprisingly enough, Huntley is. He will lay on top of Juan and refuse to let him up in the mornings if he hasn't gotten enough cuddle time. Spoiler alert: there's never enough cuddle time.
14. who shows affection through gift-giving?
Juan does with his acts of service. He loves to do things for his husband. Doting and spoiling him when he comes home from a long couple of weeks at work is the best possible thing in the world to him.
15. who’s the first one up in the morning?
That's a hard one since they're both late sleepers. And if one does happen to wake up before the other, they'll either stay in bed and wait or they'll just go back to sleep. It's more common for them to get up and go to bed at around the same time.
16. were they friends before they were lovers?
Kinda, yeah! Since Juan is ex-CIA, they already had common ground to connect over. But to say they were the best of friends immediately? Not at all. Their friendship took time to build, which required Huntley to lower his walls before anything more than platonic feelings could develop.
17. who is the better singer?
Neither of them. They're terrible, god-awful singers. Their voices sound like nails raking down a chalkboard. The most painful thing about that? Both Juan and Huntley sing in the shower.
18. who has the best jokes?
It's a toss-up. They both have really good dirty jokes, but Juan has better dad jokes than Huntley does. It's pretty even since they have good jokes but in separate categories.
19. who’s the better cook?
Juan! He's had tons of practice cooking for himself and Guapo over the years, so he's learned some tasty recipes from all over the world. If you put Huntley in front of the stove, something will spontaneously catch on fire. It's insane, it's like he was born flammable.
20. what’s their stance on having kids?
They have their sobrino, Diego, and that's good enough for them. They love being uncles, so they don't have any real desire to have children of their own. Plus, they're way too busy to properly raise a child. The role of cool uncles fits them best.
