So last night, Jubie and I were busy hunting down this incredibly sneaky Mei who would hang out behind our team, single ult us, teabag anyone she killed, and then make some miraculous escape. I actually wasn’t mad at all. It was kind of fun to chase her around, especially since it was our last game of the night, but I still blocked her because there’s no reason to be a dick and go around teabagging people.

It made me feel a lot like we were Old Dan and Little Ann from Where the Red Fern Grows. Jubie (Rein), being Dan, would blindly run after her in a rage and I (Mercy), being Ann, would be like “Jubie no, she’s too sneaky for that, she probably went down this staircase, I’m gonna go head her off” and lo and behold there she’d be.

The first time I managed to head her off was the first time she killed me and boy howdy Jubie was so mad he was ready to tear her apart. He didn’t even get the satisfaction of avenging me: our team’s Hanzo turned around, saw them struggling, shot a random scatter arrow in their direction and killed her. Jubie’s direct line was “He stole my kill from me. That was my hunt.” I felt very safe and appreciated.
