The sirens gave free passageway to the police cars as they negatived through the streets, to answer the call of distress. There had been no gunshot alert, but the emergency call of a possible shooter was taken very seriously. Especially at a school. Lexa stopped her car in screeching halt, getting out without any hesitation and slamming the door shut. Geared up by means of a bulletproof vest, she was send in after a briefing from her captain. With her trusted gun in a tight grip she entered the school building cautiously.
Rooms were being cleared, but what struck her was how calm it was. There was no panic. Confusion was shared with her partner as they slowly moved further into the building. Lexa paused when they reached the classroom. Non verbal communication was given, confirmed with a single nod. Peeking through the window she saw a class. An ordinary class. There was no sign of distress. Her hand reached out, fingers wrapped around the door handle as she prepared herself to go in. Before she pushed it down to open, she heard a familiar voice. False alarm. The annoyance was written all over her face when she finally entered the room, startling the students. “Sorry to interrupt.. but I would like to take over your class for a minute and teach the one responsible for making a fake phone call about a shooting...how serious this situation is.”
