"I am getting SO tired of this! What's the deal???" Zack turned his complaint toward the sky, huffing and puffing after barely surviving a slew of creatures come ambling from the wood with an apparent bone to pick.
"A guy don't even have to go looking for trouble!!" It was truly funny that there had been one point in his life where he went seeking a challenge, like the young, dumb pup he was, ready to prove himself with the nastiest creature known.
That was WAAAAY before he understood that life was a challenge all its very own. They didn't actually need to purposely sprinkle more complications into it. The struggle came allllll on its own!
Rustling behind him drew his attention outward, seeing, not a big ugly warted creature, but something more of a humanoid form. DAMN, it might actually BE a human, though his eyes felt crossed.
