I don't understand the people hating on Jude saying she's a murderer who doesn't value life.

Yes she did kill a lot of people and wasn't even sorry about it. But literally everyone she killed deserved to die in a brutal way! It's not like she killed innocent people for fun ☠️

Plus she didn't plan on killing Balekin (even though she was thinking about it, but can you blame her?) until he tried to poison Cardan and make him humiliate himself in front of everyone until his heart stops.

Same with Valerian, he tried to kill her three times, she was defending herself.

They all deserved to die

i hate that tcp was marketed as a romance because it isn’t. it’s jude’s story, about her trying to gain power so no one can control her. it’s the little things like her geas and her making herself immune to poison. jurdan is ultimately an enemies to lovers subplot. and i’ve seen so many posts saying “oh there’s so much faerie politics” but uh. yeah. that’s actually what this book is about.

The way I predicted 90% of the plot of The Prison Healer and thought it was dumb just for the twist to get me. Because I had predicted the twist then fell into the trap of thinking I was wrong and forgetting the possibility. Really well done with that

The prison healer was actually waaay better than I thought. I think it suffers from first book world building syndrome. Very excited for when my Libby hold is ready on the rest of the series

Thinking about how Cardan loves like a mortal, not like a fae. Thinking about this line in Wicked King: “I have heard that for mortals, the feeling of falling in love is very like the feeling of fear.”

What Cardan said to Jude before their first kiss: “You are terrifying.” And the way he’s always smirking or mockingly smiling around her because he smiles when he’s nervous.

The most stable and happy relationship Oak has been exposed to in his life is Jude and Cardan's, of course he put a ring on Wren's finger and professes marriage before he even says he loves her, it's the Greenbriar Way

The fact that Cardan falls for Jude because she's human. and because she's fierce and badass and determined and will absolutely never back down from something that she believes in. and she is still loved despite those things and because of those things.

and Cardan is just so damn jealous of it but he admires it so much he can't help but notice her and all the silly little things about her, like her round ears and the way she bites her lip when she's thinking hard.

Can we talk about how great it is that Cardan, despite being the male love interest of a fantasy series, absolutely sucks at physical combat? I love that. He has other qualities which are appreciated !!!! And that’s okay!!!
