deeply genuinely I think I was fooled by jude's nonchalant persona. yes he is legitimately nonchalant a lot of the time but the way he acts at the start is so obviously the act he puts on to persuade and extort people that silver taught him in order to get rich and steal. and then by the end he's totally turned around and instead of being motivated by logic and money he's motivated by actual friendship so he shows a lot more of himself and his emotions. part of the charming act was giving up your personal emotions to do whatever needed to be done to get a pretty lady close enough to steal a necklace but now that he doesn't need to do that anymore he's not used to feeling big emotions which is why he gets depressed for six months. oh my god it's all coming together like flow state

you know when I'm writing something about Jude because I start patriotic posting on main. every time I think about accents I get insane in my head and I think about the history of Ireland and Scotland and how much I love Scotland and hate England even more
