Dredd was never one to let his anger get in the way of his job; he'd gone home from Anderson's after squabbling with his brother and right into his training routine. It was easy to slide back into familiar drills from years in the academy and it didn't take long for the lingering rage to settle back out of his frame of mind. A shower and a cycle of natural sleep and he had been right as rain.
That still left the matter of Anderson and Rico, however.
He'd made plans to make it up to her later; she had a fireball temper and it was probably best to let her settle before he attempted to stumble through an apology. She hadn't deserved to get dragged in the middle of his... familial problems.
Today was his monthly lecture at the Academy; it'd gone off without a hitch per usual (most cadets were either too in awe or too terrified to goof off in his class). He'd taken the opportunity while he was in the Hall of Justice to go through the rounds in the training room and work off a bit of extra steam. A couple of cadets had caught him in the locker room as he was stripping into shorts and a tank and had expressed interest in catching him for a spar.
A decent chance to kill two birds with one stone.
